Leeanne was planning to have Emmett use his summon slot and maybe score some loot while he was at it.
She’d already grabbed a few treasures, but with so many Tier 4 and Tier 5 beasts roaming around, there were still plenty more treasures up for grabs.
Coral Island was so big. There was no way she was letting all that go to waste. Besides, Bailey and her crew would be calling in reinforcements anyway.
Gideon nodded. “Alright, who are we calling in?”
Leeanne sent Enrique a private message. [Coral Island. Are you in?]
Enrique: [On my way.]
Leeanne: [We can only summon two people. Get your supplies and Summon Card ready, and coordinate with Emmett.]
Enrique was always well–stocked. Barely two minutes later, he arrived with Vanessa in tow.
Enrique and Vanessa said hello and quickly took off.
Now, aside from the White Marble Everleaf, Leeanne had already snagged every treasure she could get her hands on.
By now, the sky was starting to darken.
Leeanne checked in with Snowy.
Snowy told her everything was normal. The White Marble
‘What should we do next?‘ Leeanne wondered.
Verleaf still hadn’t matured.
She glanced at the dimming sky and said, “No point in heading out now. Let’s not waste any more time. Let’s keep hunting those big–jawed crocodiles. Come on.”
Gideon and Emmett were thinking the same thing.
The three of them kept at it for another three hours, eventually hanging a luminous pearl on a tree for some light.
They’d fight for a bit, then pause to catch their breath, but in the end, they were just too wiped out to keep going.
They’d almost cleared out all the Tier 3, 4, and 5 big–jawed crocodiles around here.
Emmett flopped down on a rock to catch his breath.
Leeanne leaned against a tree and pulled up her chat screen.
Someone wrote: [I’m here. Coral Island is gorgeous. Too bad it’s already getting dark.]
Another wrote: [Even with some light, the beasts get more dangerous at night. We’ll look for treasure tomorrow instead.]
A third player wrote: [We’re with Bailey, Callum, and Jared.]
Emmett, lounging around, joked: [So you guys got in for free? It must be nice. What a cozy setup. Are you planning to let a few more people join for free in three hours too?]

No one replied.
Bailey only summoned them after they promised her half of whatever they found on Coral Island.
And they even had to cough up a hefty deposit on top of that.
5 voucher
And they were already lining up the next round of invites. Same deal, half the haul from Coral Island and a hefty deposit.
If one didn’t have enough supplies, one couldn’t even get in.
Just as they fell silent, someone else jumped in.
Liam: [Jared, you took my deposit, and yet you’re not letting me onto the island. What’s the deal? Are you just messing with me?]
Vanessa: [What? You guys are charging a deposit? I thought it was supposed to be free? This is so messed up.]
Liam: [Jared took my Rare Combat Boots blueprint as a deposit.]
Vanessa: [Oh my God, what’s the deposit even for?]
Liam: [They want half of whatever I find on Coral Island. If I hand over their share when I leave, they’ll give the blueprint back. If not, they just keep it.]
Vanessa: [Oh my, that’s seriously messed up.]
Liam: [Jared, why did you refuse to let me on the island?]
Jared: [Didn’t I already return your deposit?]
Liam: [That’s not the point. You said I could join, so why are you suddenly shutting me out? I got everything ready.]
Jared: [I gave your deposit back. Isn’t that enough? Why are you making such a fuss?]
Liam: [I spent almost everything I had just to get the supplies to get on the island, and now you won’t summon me. Who’s going to make up for my losses?]
Vanessa: [Oh my, they’re fighting. This is so messed up.]
Liam: [Jared, get out here and answer me already. Quit hiding. You have to give me an explanation.]
Jared snapped. [What’s your problem? Someone else put down a bigger deposit, so you got bumped.]
Liam: [So you’re breaking your promise? If you didn’t want me before I got my stuff together, fine, but I spent a ton on Tier
3 chicken and beef, and now you kick me out just because someone else paid more? How is that fair?]
Everyone watched the drama unfold and quickly caught on. Right away, a bunch of players started roasting Jared.
[How could you do that? You might as well auction off the spot.]
[This is so shady. I really thought getting on the island was free.]
[Yeah, I asked Bailey what it’d take to get in, and she just said she was looking for the right people. So this is what she meant?]
[Why keep it all hush–hush? This is just lame.]

[Well, after all, Bailey made big promises about bringing harmony to District 33 and letting people onto Coral Island for free.]
Bailey couldn’t help but retort: [I never said that.]
‘It was Emmett and Rodger who said that, Bailey grumbled inwardly.
Liam: [Why didn’t you just say it outright? If you’d told us it was an auction, I would’ve just bid for a spot. Now what? I spent a ton on supplies for the island. Are you going to pay me back?]
Jared was getting pissed. His leg was already aching, and he couldn’t even help with fighting the monsters.
Jared wrote irritably: [Stop dragging this out and just leave.]
Liam: [See? That’s exactly the attitude I’m talking about.]
Vanessa: [Guys, stop fighting. You’re ruining the harmony in District 33.]
Felipe: [Yeah, let’s keep things harmonious. Harmony, harmony, it’s all for the sake of harmony.]
Liam: [Bailey, I know you’re the one running things here. I want an explanation.]
Bailey was fuming, practically ready to blow her top.
She shot Jared a fierce glare. She couldn’t believe he’d actually stoop this low.
Jared muttered, “Yeah, that’s how it is. The other guy’s offer was better, so I went with him. I already gave Liam’s deposit back.”
Bailey thought for a moment, then wrote: [Liam, we’re not letting you onto Coral Island because you schemed against your own teammates and almost got them killed. Also, you betrayed Leeanne. With a reputation like yours, how could we trust you enough to summon you?]
Bailey added: [Even Leeanne wouldn’t call you in.]
Leeanne: [Leave me out of this. This isn’t my problem.]
Liam snapped. [That’s a separate issue. If you didn’t want me on the island, why did you take my deposit? Are you playing me?]
Bailey: [Jared didn’t know the full story.]
Liam shot back: [So Jared’s been here for days and still doesn’t know the full story, but you’ve only been here two days, and suddenly you know everything? Wow, you’re even faker than Robin.]
Bailey, clearly annoyed, turned to Jared and said, “This is your mess. You clean it up.”
Jared was at a loss, and with his short fuse, he blew up right there in the chat, launching into a heated argument with Liam.
Liam wasn’t someone to be trifled with. He launched into a tirade of insults, roasting Bailey and her crew.
Bailey, totally exasperated, snapped at Jared, “Next time, just summon him already. I’m so done with this.”
In the end, Liam came out on top. Jared promised that in three hours, as soon as he could summon again, he’d bring Liam in right away.

Finally, the whole mess settled down.
Meanwhile, Leeanne had already stopped paying attention to the mess in the chat.
She was busy sorting through her loot.
Leeanne pulled out everything they’d scored after slaying those Tier 5 big–jawed crocodiles and wolves, and started divvying it up with Gideon and Emmett.
Leeanne: [We’ve got two Advanced Diving Suits, three Intermediate Flippers, three Intermediate Diving Suits, one Advanced Flipper, two Wolfskin Battle Suit blueprints, one Crocodile Boots blueprint, and one Wolfskin Boots blueprint.
[Also, there are Tier 4 and 5 crocodile hides, Tier 4 and 5 wolf pelts, crocodile meat, wolf meat, wolf fangs, and so on.]
Emmett: [Leeanne, you take your pick. Grab half, and Gideon and I will split the rest. As for the hides and meat, just give us a bit.]
Gideon: [Yeah.]
If it weren’t for Leeanne, they wouldn’t have even gotten a shot at coming to Coral Island.
In the end, Leeanne chose an Advanced Diving Suit, an Intermediate Flipper, a Wolfskin Battle Suit blueprint, and a Wolfskin Boots blueprint. These were meant for Maeve.
She figured it was best to have them ready, just in case she needed them later.
As for the wolf and crocodile meat, along with their hides, the three of them split everything evenly.
That way, everyone got a decent share, enough for all of them to use.
They were exhausted, so they grabbed a bite and crashed for two hours.
In that short time, over forty people had already made it onto the island.
It was already two or three in the morning.
The night view on Coral Island was pretty nice. Glowing trees dotted the island, making the whole place look beautiful.
Some daring players took advantage of the glowing trees to keep adventuring through the night.
Leeanne, Gideon, and Emmett kept hunting for another two hours, but they were completely spent. Eventually, they took turns catching some shut–eye.
At six in the morning, dawn broke.
Suddenly, a game announcement popped up. [The Coral Island Treasure Map has been distributed. Please collect it]
Leeanne rubbed her eyes and sat up.
She got a system notification, and when she opened it, it was a Coral Island Treasure Map, which was exactly the same as hers.
Leeanne was speechless.
