Chapter 263

A little over ten minutes latex everyone in the funnels had been brought back above ground.

The eight women who were rescued just stood there trembling, completely numb and unresponsive.

“Damn. My base starved half to death, and we never ate people. Are these things even human? I can’t stand looking at this,” Milo said darkly after seeing what they had done.

Hayley glanced at him. “You don’t exactly have the best reputation, either.”

Milo turned to her. “I kill people. I don’t eat people. I’ve got a line.”

Hayley had no reply to that.

There were 21 people in the underground den including Wilona, with 8 women kept as reserve food. There were 3 lookout points at the exits, and countless human remains.

Most of the bodies were women, though there were men as well. Anyone who didn’t belong to their inner circle had been butchered and dried for food.

The pieces had even been sorted, legs and arms hanging one by one.

Even Hayley, who had seen every kind of horror the apocalypse could offer, felt sick to her stomach. She looked at the lifeless girls and grabbed Quinton, who was still barely conscious.

“Bring them all over.”

Seeing her like this, Milo said flatly, “Just kill him. If you can’t, I will.”

“That’d be too easy,” Hayley said.

She dragged Quinton to the second floor of the former lodge and threw a window open. Zombies immediately swarmed below.

Quinton, half-dead, looked out and panicked.

Slash!

His limbs dropped to the ground like the dried meat in his yard.

When the abused girls saw this, light finally returned to their dead eyes.

Liam frowned, but said nothing.

The others were ruthless, too. Especially Milo, who secretly relt satisfied.

Scarlett was in complete agreement with Hayley’s actions. They were punishing monsters, not people.

She had gone into that trap with Hayley herself. She knew for a fact that if it hadn’t been for them today, these women would one day end up like those strips of meat in the yard

Those monsters deserved to die ten times over!

If anything, feeding Quinton to zombies was mercy Some people would even call it too soft

Hayley personally took care of everyone, including Wilona

When Wilona closed her eyes for the final time, she finally understood that she hadn’t lured in a foolish little rabbit The only fool here had always been her

“Burn everything,” Hayley said quietly when it was over

Everyone was still in shock from what they had seen.

Milo was the first to move. “‘ handle it.”

He gave Hayley a thumbs-up. It was the quiet acknowledgment of an equal.
