The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 268

Chapter 268

Ruby was so hungry that she accepted anything placed in front of her.

Worried about Ruby’s stomach, Hayley reminded her to slow down and kept giving her water.

After eating like a storm, Ruby finally felt full

“I was starving. Sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

Nobody minded.

If she were Hayley’s aunt, then she was everyone’s aunt.

Hayley herself barely got a few bites in before the dishes in front of her were empty. At that moment, several plates were s before her.

“Boss, I still have food here. Eat mine,” Leonard said, pushing his plate over.

“I didn’t touch this. You can have it,” Liam said, sliding another plate toward her.

“I saved you a rib. It’s clean,” Milo said as he handed it to her.

Even Scarlett offered her own food. “I’ve still got plenty! Eat mine.”

Hayley looked at them all feeding her like she was livestock and pulled a face. At that moment, Ruby burst out laughing besi her.

“Aunt Ruby, what are you laughing at?”

“I’m happy for you. Eat up,” Ruby said with a smile.

Hayley suddenly felt awkward. “I’m full. Let’s head back first.

“You barely ate anything. You have to eat more.”

“No, I’m full. Let’s go.”

“Okay, okay. I’ll go with you.” Ruby stood up and smiled, waving to everyone. “We’re heading out

“Bye, Aunt Ruby.”

“Bye, Aunt Ruby ”

“Bye, Aunt Ruby ”

On the way back, Ruby asked, “Holly, who were all those people?

“But the one I like best for you is Milo! Years of experience tell me that if you can handle that kind of man, you’ll live an ex life with him every day.”

Hayley was speechless.

How did her aunt get all that from one dinner?

“What about the other two?” Hayley asked helplessly.

Ruby’s eyes widened. “What? They’re your type?”

Hayley didn’t reply.

“That Thomas guy wanted to pass you food, but when everyone else did it first, he smiled like someone proud of you. He definitely sees you as a sister, so forget it. And that girl, Scarlett…”

Ruby clicked her tongue.

“Holly, sweetie, you’re really pushing my boundaries here. But if you’re into her, I’ll support you. I’m very open-minded. Y two actually look good together. It’s obvious that she admires you. If you tell her to be your girlfriend, she might even say ye wish you happiness.”

Hayley stared at Ruby in silence.

“Go to sleep, Aunt Ruby.”

“I want to sleep with you tonight. All these years overseas, I dreamed about you every night. I wanted to come back so many times, but I never dared. Let me hold you properly tonight.”

Hayley was ruthless with enemies, but hopelessly soft with family.

After ten minutes of Ruby clinging to her, Hayley finally gave in and agreed to sleep together.

They slept well that night.

The next day, Hayley had Robert come over and drive Ruby and the other women back to her base.

“Aunt Ruby, come live at my base. I’ll head back when I’m done here in a few days.”

Ruby wanted to go with her, but she knew she would only slow them down.

“Please be careful. And don’t forget the chemicals. You should collect them if you see them. There’s a place calledaughte Pharma on the north side of the city. I’m sure they’ll have what we need. If you can, go there and get everyaking at once

“Got it”

Hayley locked that name in

Brightreach Pharma

If she remembered correctly, Brightreach Pharma was just outside Fumberfall once they cleared rumbectal, thes could grab the supplies in one trip

With the spray, everyone would have an extra lifeline
