The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 274

Hi, Captain Gorgeous. Been awhile.

Griffin stood on the second floor. He didn’t run, and he even spread his arms with a grm, acting like he was going in for a hug.

The next second, Hayley grabbed the stair rail and vaulted upward in & few swift jumps.

Everyone’s eyes went wide.

They knew each other!

And not just that. They seemedclose.

Ned and the other guys felt even more bitter. Griffin had already shown up and effortlessly stolen their girlfriendsattention. They couldn’t do a thing about it.

Now, here was someone else he knew, and she looked powerful.

With the two of them together, the gap between them felt even wider.

The girls felt a sting of jealousy, too. This was Griffin, the strongest man they had met in the apocalypse.

He had supplies, strength, looks, charm, and somehow understood girls better than anyone. He himself was as mysterious as

the deep sea.

No one could ever tell what he was thinking.

Compared to their clueless boyfriends, Griffin felt leagues above. He was the perfect dream guy.

Yet, none of them had ever seen Griffin this warm toward a woman/He even had his arms wide open, inviting a hug.

It made their hearts twist with envy.

Just as they were about to witness a romantic reunion in the apocalypse, Hayley reached him and kicked him square in the chest

Bang!

Griffin slammed back into a row of shelves and flew several feet.

Everyone froze.

This wasn’t what they expected.

Then, they saw something even more shocking.

On the second floor, Hayley pinned Griffin down and beat him mercilessly.

Every punch made their own hearts jump.

What the hell

After a full five minutes of that, Hayley hauled up the battered Griffin by the collar You really enjoy running that much?

Griffin tilted his head and smiled. One human eye still showed, glowing faintly You’re obsessed with me, hah

Wham!

A dark bruise bloomed around his other eye

Hayley grabbed his collar harder. I’m out of patience Run again, and I’ll kill you

Griffin blinked. There will always be a next time

+15 Bonus

Bang!

Hayley threw him over her shoulder and sent him crashing down, then gave hirfanother round for good measure

He was half zombie, anyway.

She couldn’t beat him to death, so she just tried her best.

The harder she hit, the happier Griffin looked.
