The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 278

Chapter 278

Hayley lazily looked at the

guys stepping forward. Behind them, the four girls also walked up, all of them staring at her like

she was some kind of wild amal if a zoo

She couldn’t be bothered to respond to these idiots.

Ned couldn’t hold it in any longer and blurted out. If you take our stuff, you’ve gosta protect us!^

“That’s right! You have to stay here and keep us safe,” the girls chimed in

Bradley didn’t say a word. He just stood there holding the bags of medicine, looking at Hayley

Hayley took the bags from his hands and hung them around Griffin’s neck. “Hold out for about ten days or so, and you might get rescued.”

Griffin was speechless

Bradley’s eyes lit up, while the others immediately started firing questions like excited kids.

“Who’s coming to rescue us

“Why ten days?”

“What if nobody comes in ten days?”

“What if we can’t hold on that long?”

“There’s no food left. What if we starve P

Hayley didn’t even look at them “What happens then? You die ”

She hoisted Griffin onto her back and prepared to leave with all the medicine.

The students didn’t want her to go, but none of them dared to stop her.

They had just watched her kill someone with one strike. Their nerves were still tight as piano wire.

Still, watching her walk away was unbearable.

“How can you be like this?”

“You can’t just abandon us!”

“Take me to my parents! They have money. If you get me to shem, they’ll pay you!”

“Me too! Take me with you!”

A couple of the girls rushed forward and tried to cling to her.

Hayley looked at these kids who were still living in yesterday. They weren’t even as sharp as Cloudia, who at least knew how to survive in the apocalypse.

Annoyed, Hayley pulled free and was about two seconds from teaching them a very blunt life lesson with her blade

Just then, Ned suddenly shouted, “Boss, there’s more medicine!”

He hurried up to her. “There’s an underground storage room here. It’s loaded with prescriptions!”

That finally caught her attention.

“Where?”

“Downstairs 1 can take you there, but you have to take us with you.”

“I can’t take you. There are

of you, and you’re reckless. Wait for rescue, if you’re still alive by then.” Hayley said flatly

“Then… Can you at least help us clear out some zombies?

Hayley shook her head slightly. “For that offer, I’ll give you some survival tips. Nothing more. If I come back, I’ll come by myself.
