Chapter 284
Her entire face was deathly pale. Beneath her darkened eye sockets were gray, cloudy zombie eyes.
Bradley and Lindsay were horrified when they saw her.
But at least this time, none of them screamed.
In that split second of danger, Bradley shoved Lindsay astde and faced zombie Lizzie head-on.
Clang!
A blade flashed.
Thud!
A zombie body dropped at Bradley’s feet, along with a severed head that rolled to a stop beside his shoes.
Seeing that, Bradley felt his entire back go numb.
“Bradley!” Lindsay threw herself into his arms.
Bradley, who had narrowly escaped death, hugged her just as tightly. “It’s okay. It’s okay. I’m fine.”
You really saw who someone was when things went bad. It took moments like this to reveal a person’s true character.
“What are you standing around for? Move, now!”
Hayley was already striding into the fire exit.
The other two young couples had gone in after her, leaving Bradley and Lindsay still standing there.
Hearing that, Bradley immediately grabbed Lindsay’s hand. “Let’s go. Stay close to that lady, and we’ll be fine!”

Chapter 284
After Hayley led everyone mothe stairwell, she immediately locked the door from the inside.
As they started climbing up, loud banging echoed from below, zombies stamming into the door nonstop.
The zombies that had followed them from the drugstore screeched nonstop, throwing themselves against the door.
This door was way sturdier than the aluminum one at the drugstore. It was a proper fire-rated safety door.
The heavy thudding of zombies crashing into it made everyone’s hearts race, and they instinctively stuck even closer to Hayley.
When they finally reached the ground floor, light appeared ahead. Daylight streamed through the stairwell windows, illuminating the path ahead of them.
Hayley pushed open the ground-floor safety door, and sure enough, a massive car dealership showroom came into view.

Rows and rows of brand-new cars filled the huge sales hall. And they were all luxury models.
No way Hayley was leaving empty-handed. She was taking them all.
She slung Griffin over her shoulder and grabbed his hand, pretending he was some kind of inventory-variant Gifted, when in reality, she was the one doing the collecting.
Sedans, collected.
Pickup trucks, collected.
Vans, collected.
SUVS, collected.
Sports cars, collected.
While Hayley was busy collecting cars, she shouted to the others, “Go find the keys!”
No one dared to disobey. They were still counting on Hayley to get them out alive.
The group immediately split up, rushing toward the sales counters and the employee rooms behind them to look for keys.
By the time Hayley finished collecting the cars, only two SUVS were left. She looked around. “Still haven’t found the keys?”
As her words fell, Ned and Cecilia ran out of the employee room. “Hey, um, Wendy and Lindsay have stomachaches!”
“They’re in the bathroom. Let’s wait for them!”
Hayley stared at them.
Her face went cold as she strode over. “The keys.”
Ned and Cecilia exchanged a glance. “We found them. They’re with Wendy and Lindsay. They’ll give them to you once they’re done in the bathroom.”
A laugh came from Hayley’s shoulder.
Griffin said, “Captain Gorgeous, they’re not exactly idiots, but they’re not very bright either. They seem to never learn their lesson, still sticking with their teammates no matter what.”
“At least they know not to abandon their teammates. What about you?” Hayley snapped back, taking the chance to lecture him. ” Can’t you learn to be loyal to your companions?”
Griffin smiled faintly. “I’m only loyal to my sex partner.”
