Chapter 290

In the blink of an eye, more than a week had passed.

Inside Hope Base.

“Listen up, idiots! This is the Haylight League. We’re about to push into the northern parts. We expect to take control of the entire north side within a month. Haylight League always welcomes smart people to join us. We take good care of smaller bases. Everyone here is united, friendly, energetic, and full of passion…”

Alex listened quietly, feeling frustrated.

If Hayley hadn’t publicly declared war on Frontier Base and swallowed them whole just two weeks ago, he might’ve actually believed her talk about unity, kindness, and taking care of smaller bases.

Damn it. Haylight League was basically a den of hardcore raiders.

Still, Alex didn’t really have the energy to complain about Hayley’s bandit-style behavior anymore. Despite how forceful she was, what she was actually doing earned his respect.

They had already started attacking the northern part of the cities.

These people were truly doing something incredible.

They were methodically purging zombies from the cities, reclaiming territory bit by bit, and steadily reducing the threat posed by millions of zombies.

If no one cleared the zombies, those massive hordes would eventually turn into a catastrophic ticking bomb.

They pushed forward through gritted teeth. The more zombies they eliminated now, the smaller the danger would be in the

future.

This was work that mattered now and for generations to come.

That said, Alex wasn’t optimistic about Hayley’s chances.

First, the weather was heating up. It was no longer the cold snap season of late winter.

Cold weather greatly limited zombie movement, making purges far easier.

Now that temperatures were rising day by day, zombies would only become faster and more aggressive. Second, the northern region was huge, with a population of over 200 thousand before the outbreak.

If Hayley pushed toward the city center, she was guaranteed to run into massive zombie waves.

Even with several bases fighting together, Base K1 had just over 500 people, Firebrand Base had about 400, and with Haylight Base plus one smaller base, the total force was barely over 1,000.

A thousand people versus more than two hundred thousand zombies.

How did Hayley even dare to try this? Did she have some top-secret trump card?

“Everyone, spray this on yourselves before moving out! Then put two capsules in your mouth. If a zombie gets close at a critical

moment, bite down and crush them!”

“Got it!”

Hayley distributed the newly developed spray and capsules Ruby had made.

The usage method had been refined again and again by Ruby.

The test subject had been Griffin.

Every member of the Haylight League was fully equipped with the new anti-zombie spray. Immediately after, the entire force charged straight toward the city center.

This time, everyone at Haylight Base noticed something astonishing.
