Chapter 295

“That’s right. Everything we have today came from the Haylight League,” Malchan said as he stepped up beside Scarlett

Every time Malcolm saw how strong their base had become, he felt incredibly grateful that he had listened to Scarlett back then and joined the Haylight League

What started as an all-or-nothing gamble had turned into overwhelming prosperity.

As soon as Malcolm finished speaking, a crowd immediately gathered around him.

“Captain Carline, hello! I’m Dexter Wilcher, manager of Fulcrum Base.”

“Hello, Captain Carline. I’m Marlon Binder, manager of Everpeace Base.”

“Captain Carline, it’s been a while. I’m Oliver Craig from Nova Base. We ran a mission together before. Do you remember me?”

“I do.” Malcolm nodded.

“Could you tell us what the Haylight League is really like? How strong are you? What are the requirements to join? How dangerous are the operations?”

Hearing this, Malcolm stepped naturally into the role of Haylight League’s representative and greeted them warmly. “Come inside. I’ll explain everything properly.”

A group of mid-sized and smaller base leaders followed him,

Just then, a slightly arrogant voice rang out.

“You’re the manager of Ember Base?”

Malcolm, who was about to leave, turned toward the voice and saw a group that clearly didn’t fit in, surrounded by guards.

At the front was a young man in his mid-twenties. Behind him on either side, stood two strikingly beautiful women. Beautiful women were rare in the apocalypse. These two looked healthy and radiant, clearly living very well even now.

The entire group radiated arrogance and privilege, looking down with obvious disdain at the small-base people who looked like refugees in comparison.

“And you are?” Malcolm asked.

Someone nearby recognized them. “The Ironlock Base from Brookville!”

“So fronlock Base showed up, too.”

Malcolm didn’t recognize the name, so the other base leaders quietly explained

“Tromlock Base was founded by the Cooks You know, the big shots from Brookville before the apocalypse. They also owned massive real estate companies in Aecraton

“They built their base in Brookville’s wealthy district They keep a large number of bodyguards and servants.

“They shouldn’t be short on food or supplies. They’re very strong, but they don’t take in survivors. They only defend their rich

district base”

Malcolm nodded in understanding so they were one of those powerful families from before the apocalypse.

The young man leading Ironlock Base looked around and asked, “Base Kt, Firebrand Base, and Haylight Base aren’t here yet?”

Malcolm’s expression cooled slightly “They haven’t arrived I’m in charge of receiving guests”

“Then we’ll wait for them,” the man said, lifting his gaze. He didn’t even bother looking at Malcolm “You go on with your work.
