The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 360

Chapter 360

At that moment, inside Milky Way Base.

“Captain, look! What’s that?”

After their base leader, Kit, sent out a distress call a week ago, the base was swallowed once again by a

wave of zombie attacks.

After barely holding out for two days, their population dropped by another third.

It wasn’t just people they were losing. Their supplies were completely exhausted. They had no food, no weapons, and no way to break out.

They were trapped in total despair. There was no doubt they would be the next ants swallowed by the zombie tide.

And then, Kit heard the sound of drones flying overhead.

Still confused, he looked up and saw two words swaying beneath the drones.

Haylight League.

At the same time, supply bags began dropping one after another.

In that instant, Kit was completely stunned.

“It’s instant noodles and pasta!”

“There are dried meal packs, too! Captain! Captain, we’ve got vegetables again!”

“Mom, I haven’t seen vegetables in so long…”

“And weapons! We have guns now!”

As shouts of joy and disbelief rang out across the base, Kit finally snapped out of it. He ran beneath the drones, staring at bag after bag of food hitting the ground.

Relief packages.

Hayley had actually sent them help!

No one could truly understand what even this small amount of aid meant to a base like theirs.

A few scraps from Hayley were everything they needed to survive.

No one could understand the storm raging in Kit’s heart at that moment. This was rescue, saving lives

when it mattered most.

As he looked at the words “Haylight League” circling in the sky, those words burned themselves into his

heart.

They took root like a belief.

Haylight League became the glory he would pursue for the rest of his life.

This shock wasn’t limited to just one base.

Everywhere Hayley’s supplies arrived, the reaction was the same.

What the strong scattered casually became divine grace to those on the brink.

Anyone who had struggled in that kind of despair couldn’t stop the surge of emotion when they saw supplies dropping from the sky.

Someone was still helping them and saving them.

Because of that, they could live!

Drone after drone flew back and forth.

Hayley’s shelter barely even paused.

If you looked at the entire Eastern region from above, with Hayley’s shelter at the center, the Haylight League looked like a massive heart. The drones were its blood vessels, carrying supplies to every corner.

Thump.

Thump.

Thump!

Wherever the Haylight League reached, the frozen ends of the region came back to life.

One white dot after another began to glow within the red zombie zones.

Human strength was growing.

September, second year into the apocalypse.

Under the Haylight League banner, Liam’s teams spread out across the region, helping small bases fight back against the outward-surging zombie tide.

Under the Haylight League banner, Milo led 300 elites to help Tomorrow Base break out.
