Chapter 418

At that moment, a clear votes gang out.

“Stop.”

Hayley halted them and walked forward step by step.

Sawyer turned with a dark expression. When he saw Hayley, he glanced at Scott.

Scott said nothing, which counted as tacit approval.

Hayley walked up to Gresham and Nash, looking at the big boy standing wide-eyed in front of his father.

“Captain Fuller, you lost Griffin. Then let this kid serve me for now. Once we find Griffin, I’ll give him back to you.”

Scott smiled slightly after hearing that. “Alright.”

He agreed again, just as easily.

That easy agreement made Hayley feel a little uneasy. Was he serious or not?

“Thank you, Captain Fuller,” Hayley said with a bright smile as she turned to him.

“As long as you’re not mad that I lost Griffin.” 1

“That wasn’t something you could control. I’ll look for him again at dawn tomorrow.”

“Okay.”

Hayley took Nash with her.

Nash didn’t want to leave at first, but Gresham shoved him hard, telling him that he had to listen to Hayley no matter what.

Hayley took the boy away to rest.

Scott then asked Sawyer, “Griffin really got taken care of?”

“Yes! I saw him swallowed by the zombie tide with my own eyes!”

Hearing that, a smile immediately appeared on Scott’s face.

The night passed.

Early the next morning, Hayley opened her eyes and heard arguing nearby.

“Get out of my way!”

“I’m Ms. Reid’s follower now. I can’t leave.” A boy’s voice rang out, still cracking with puberty.

“This is an order from the boss!”

“I only listen to Ms. Reid now,” Nash said firmly.

“You’re asking for it!” Sawyer raised his hand and slapped Nash hard.

After landing that slap, Sawyer was kicked flying.
