The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 420

Chapter 420

With a casual wave of her hand, Hayley unleashed a level of power these people had never seen before.

Rain filled the sky, exploding like bullets.

The moisture hanging in the air was so thick that it felt as if a god were standing before them, showing them what true gifts looked like.

Among them, the strongest was Scott. Even though he was a level-four Gifted, when he fully unleashed his mental-variant gift, he could only suppress about ten zombies in front of him.

But Hayley wiped out every zombie within a five-foot radius around her with a single inove.

It was shocking, to say the least.

It was beyond mindblowing.

The gap was like a chasm you could never cross.

Their little water orbs, fire orbs, and flying knives looked like nothing in front of her.

Most of them were only level two.

So what level was Hayley? Was she even human?

Everyone was stunned.

Sawyer stared in disbelief at Hayley, who had unleashed such terrifying power as if it were nothing. His mind went blank, his mouth hanging open as he stared at the person he had always thought was just a pretty face.

Hayley had arrived at their base by helicopter.

After arriving, she had never done anything. She only asked for things, and whenever danger showed up, she hid behind Scott.

He had always thought that aside from her looks and a few sweet words, she had no real strength at all.

He had assumed she must have climbed her way up in her league by relying on men.

He never imagined that once Hayley made a move, she would completely blow his mind!

This woman was terrifying.

His own gifts were a joke compared to hers.

Sawyer’s face flushed red and white in turns. He was shocked and humiliated all at once. It felt like the most brutal blow to his ego. He now realized how stupid his earlier thoughts had been.

Hayley’s strength gave him a harsh reality check.

Beside Hayley, Nash stared wide-eyed, his jaw practically on the ground.

The young woman his father had told him to follow was terrifyingly strong.

Between her and the zombies, who was really the monster? How could she be this powerful?

Nash went from reluctant obedience to genuine loyalty, to this moment of complete awe. He was utterly overwhelmed.

His eyes shone as he looked at her.

Meanwhile, Scott was just as stunned as he looked at Hayley.

She was so powerful..

In that instant, clarity flooded his mind.

He finally understood why the leader of Haylight League was a woman.

Milo and Liam each commanded their own forces, yet they obediently worked under fer and followed her orders.

All that talk about being bullied, about being a figurehead, had all been lies Hayley fed him. With her strength, one slap would be enough. Nobody would dare resist her.

His gaze grew complex beyond words.

Just then, the rhythmic thudding of a helicopter echoed overhead.

Hayley, having blasted open the first wave of zombies, heard the sound and shouted, “Kid, grab your dad and run!”

As soon as she spoke, she charged forward.

She pushed an air wall ahead of her, forcing the outer ring of zombies back.

Nash reacted first. He grabbed Gresham from nearby and bolted after Hayley at full speed.
