There was no surviving this. They were dead either way. Their abilities were almost drained, and Hayley was closing in.

Hayley raised her hand and unleashed her water-element gift, something the crowd knew well.

Water surged into the air around her. Thick waves of mist rolled across the battlefield. After several sweeping bursts, the remaining zombies were wiped out completely.

Thirty seconds later, the barrier dissolved.

The beast battle arena was silent.

Everywhere except the small area behind Hayley was covered with bodies.

Five hundred zombies. Twelve Gifted fighters from the three bases combined.
