The Endgame Chronicles (by Hugh White) novel Chapter 630

Chapter 630

A single helicopter headed toward Ark One base.

Inside the cabin, Hayley sat with her eyes closed. In truth, her mind had already entered the system shop.

She started buying weapons in rapid succession

AK rifles. Submachine guns. M12s.

To save time reloading during a fight, she didn’t even bother purchasing extra ammunition. She simply bought more guns instead.

Her points dropped rapidly.

After stocking up on weapons, she bought medical supplies.

Once she had enough gear, she opened the crystal core exchange panel.

By now, she had exchanged more than a million crystal cores and had accumulated several chances to draw from the crystal lottery.

The lottery rewarded new abilities.

She had tried it a few times before. Most of the time, she only pulled basic speed or strength-enhancement gifts, so she had I the remaining chances unused.

This time, she spent all 13 draws at once.

Ding! [Congratulations! You have obtained Speed Enhancement.]

Ding! [Congratulations! You have obtained Strength Enhancement.]

Ding! [Congratulations! You have obtained Magnetic Field.]

After pulling a string of speed and strength enhancements, a new gift finally appeared.

[Magnetic Field: Able to amplify magnetic signals or block magnetic signals.]

Hayley slowly opened her eyes.

Magnetic signals.

She tried it immediately.

She blocked the magnetic signal coming from the communication earpiece in her ear. The next second, the sound vanished.

Interesting.

After leaving the lottery interface, she checked the system shop’s limited-time section

Unfortunately, there were no major weapons available this time, only construction materials. After scanning through everything one last time, Hayley finished arming herself.

Then, she sent one more message to Leena from Ark Two and Max from Ark ‘Three

Only after that did she finally open her eyes.

She was ready

The helicopter landed just as the sun was setting. The red light of dusk painted the entire prairie in crimson.

city.

Zombie hordes rarely made it this far.

And with the underground bunker design, once the entrance above ground was sealed, breaking in from outside was almost impossible.

When Hayley’s helicopter touched down, the entire bunker entrance was already packed with people.

Standing at the center was Nathaniel. He smiled when he saw her step out.

“You came.”

“I said I would.”

Nathaniel walked up to her. “I already spoke with my brother. I won’t kill you. I’m still going to marry you. I mean that.”

As he spoke, Constant stepped forward and handed over a bowl of medicine.

“This is abortion medicine,” Constant said coldly. “You had your chance to walk the easy path. Now, this is how you stay alive..

Before he could finish speaking, the entire bowl of medicine was shoved straight into his mouth.

Hayley forced it down his throat.

“Shut the hell up,” she said coldly. “You don’t get to tell me what to do, old man!”

Constant choked violently, nearly coughing himself to death. “I’m gonna kill you!”

“That’s enough,” Nathaniel said.
