Chapter 803
On days like this, inventory variant Gifted didn’t get involved at all.
With this much cargo moving around, a few lost items were almost impossible to trace. Once something went missing, tracking
it down turned into a nightmare.
That was exactly why inventory Gifted weren’t used unless absolutely necessary.
“You’re full of it!” Sawyer snapped. “Not a single inventory variant Gifted came with us today. How would our people even get in and steal anything?”
“Who said it was stolen today?” Albert shot back, staring him down.
“Then what, you expect us to figure it out with broken surveillance? You’ve got no proof!”
Just then, another group approached.
“This isn’t that hard to investigate.”
Harrison White, the manager from District Two, walked over, a slick smile stretched across his face.
“Inventory–variant Gifted have limited storage. That much cargo has to be hidden somewhere. There are cameras all over the exterior. Why not check which ones are down outside? That’ll point you right to it.”
Sawyer’s expression shifted instantly.
The guy was practically stepping on their heads and telling them what to do.
“This is a major theft of company property. It has to be clarified. Mr. Fuller, you’re not going to cover this up, right?”
Scott looked at Harrison and smiled, calin and composed. “Of course. It needs to be investigated thoroughly. But what if this
wasn’t us?”
“If it wasn’t, then you’re cleared,” Albert replied.
Scott’s gaze locked onto Jeff.
“If it turns out we had nothing to do with this, then as District One’s manager, you’ll be held responsible for the loss. Don’t
expect me to go easy on you.”
His voice stayed gentle, but the words cut like a blade straight through Jeff’s chest.
It was a warning. If Jeff kept pushing it, he would be sorry.
Jeff met his eyes, his calculating eyes flickering for a second before he nodded. “If it’s on me, I’ll take responsibility.”
“Sawyer. Pull the footage.” Scott didn’t waste another second.
There was no need to head to the security room. Sawyer had access to everything right where he stood.
He opened his tablet and brought up the surveillance network.
There were feeds from all over the company. Just one factory complex alone had over a thousand surveillance cameras.
Sawyer pulled up the footage for District One. Just like the other side had claimed, every single feed was down.
His expression darkened immediately. Whoever was behind this had gone all in. They were trying to pin everything on them.
He quickly switched to other areas.
The next second, another blacked–out screen popped up.

Sawyer’s heart dropped.
It was their security booth.
“Look at that! Just like I said, something’s wrong on your end!” Albert shouted the moment he saw the dead feed. “Right there, your security booth!”
Everyone’s eyes snapped toward the now–empty booth.
