Chapter 802
Hearing the commotion, Hayley casually put everything back the way it was.
After that, she walked out as if nothing had happened.
Outside, a massive crowd of guards had already lined up in formation.

Hayley glanced over the rows. There were around 600 people, all standing in neat lines. She spotted Griffin near the back and slipped into place beside him.
As she stepped in, the person at the end of the row unconsciously shifted back one spot.
That was Ghost Mode. People didn’t just fail to notice her; their minds adjusted around her. The more crowded it was, the more invisible she became. No one ever realized when she appeared.
Griffin felt something off and turned toward the guard beside him.
“I’m back,” Hayley said casually.
The moment he registered her, he broke into a grin. “What trick is it this time?”
“Don’t ask questions you don’t need answers to.”
“Fair enough,” Griffin said, sounding lazy as ever.
They spoke normally. The people around them could hear them, and they could even see Hayley if they looked directly at her, but nothing stuck.
The moment their eyes moved away, she vanished from memory, as, if she had never been there.
“We’re missing a huge batch of supplies!” The District One team lead stormed out, furious. “You people must’ve stolen them! You sneaked into our facility and took company property! Hand it over now, or you’re done!”
The guards looked at each other, completely confused.
A calm voice cut through the tension.
“What’s going on here?”
“Mr. Fuller!”
Albert Mann, the District One team lead, looked at Scott as he approached, his anger still burning.
“A third of the company’s supplies are gone! This is serious. You’d better give us an explanation!”
“Did you check your own storage first?” Sawyer shot back without hesitation. “This isn’t exactly new for you.”
After Scott had been dropped in as a manager, he had reported Jeff for skimming supplies.
Higher–ups got involved. Jeff saved himself by pushing the blame onto one of his own trusted subordinates, while he got off with a warning.
From that day on, he and Scott had been at each other’s throats.
Sawyer’s words made Albert’s expression twist. “Cut the sarcasm! The scale of this loss is massive! Our manager will report this to upper management!”
“Then go ahead,” Sawyer said. “No one’s stopping you.”
“Sawyer.” Scott’s voice cut in, calm but firm.

His gaze settled on the other side, gentle on the surface, but something sharp flickered underneath.
“If company property is missing, that’s a serious matter. It needs to be investigated. Let’s start by reviewing the surveillance.”
“No need,” Albert snapped. “Your people have already damaged the cameras. Our workshop’s been blind this whole time.”
Scott’s brow lifted slightly. A cold edge crept into his eyes. “And why are you so sure it was us?”
“Because security manages the surveillance! If you didn’t mess it up, then who did?^
“That’s ridiculous!” Sawyer said. “Instead of checking your own people, you blame us right away?”
