The generator was less than seven feet tall, and the platform was narrow. The survivors huddled together like helpless sheep, surrounded by a dense, unbroken wall of zombies, with nowhere left to run.
The generator beneath them wobbled under the push and shove of the zombies.
They were completely doomed.
Just as despair was closing in, a roar thundered through the silent factory.
An armored vehicle appeared, barreling into view.
Every eye was fixed on it.
The aggressive machine crushed stray zombies under its treads as it raced straight toward their building.
Boom!
It plowed into the horde, flattening both the zombies and the dirt mound beneath them.
The zombie “staircase” was instantly smashed. Zombies still climbing in midair were sent tumbling down like rain.
Then, a high–powered jet of water shot from a hatch on top of the armored car.
A man stood at the aiming port, channeling an enormous pressurized water stream from his palms toward the remaining zombies.
Where the water hit, zombies fell by the dozens.
Those still clinging to their companions were swept away completely.
Next came fire.
Boom!
Flames erupted from the top of the armored vehicle.
With a combination of water, fire, and the armored car’s relentless ramming, thousands of zombies were crushed, scattered, and wiped out within minutes.
Hayley gripped the wheel. The scene was playing out like something straight out of a zombie massacre. This was what killing zombies should be like: efficient and brutal!
Once the main zombie horde was cleared, the armored car pulled up against the factory wall, its doors swinging open. A pack of dogs rushed out, clad in special combat gear protecting their heads and bellies.
The dogs charged ferociously into the remaining zombies, biting and clawing with deadly precision, finishing off any stragglers.
The car’s roof hatch opened fully, and a towering lift extended.
Julian and Rowena stared in shock as two figures jumped up from the lift and landed on their rooftop.
They had come to save them!
The man wielded a constant stream of high–pressure water, and the woman carried a long sword.

Every zombie that got in her way was sliced down with precise, fluid strikes. Heads and bodies tumbled, severed in an instant.
Leonard’s water stream covered Hayley’s blind spots, clearing any zombies she couldn’t reach. Together, they moved seamlessly to the generator.
Ten minutes later, every zombie around Julian and the others was gone.
The survivors stared at Hayley and Leonard as if they were witnessing gods in action. Hayley and Leonard looked like legendary deities that had come specifically to save them.
“Do you want to come with me?” Hayley asked once the rooftop was cleared.
The survivors froze, stunned.
“I’ve built a base,” she continued. “If you come with me, you’ll become residents of my base. From now on, I’ll protect you and guarantee your safety within my territory.”
Hayley’s gaze swept over them, each word deliberate and commanding.
