Jillian and Daniel finished their meal, paid the bill, and got ready to leave.

A few tables away, Sylvia and Killian were still seated. The moment Sylvia saw Daniel stand up, she completely lost her appetite.

"Should we head out too?"

Killian picked up a napkin and elegantly dabbed his mouth. "Food wasn't to your liking?"

Sylvia was momentarily speechless. She was the one who had booked this place, claiming she was craving their signature seafood.

She quickly scrambled for an excuse. "The meat was just too heavy. I'll feel sick if I eat too much this late."

Killian nodded dismissively. "Let's go, then."

The two stood up, and Killian headed to the front to settle the check.

Sylvia used the reflection in the glass windows to keep her eyes firmly locked on Daniel.

When she saw Daniel push the heavy glass door open and politely step aside to let Jillian walk out first, her fingers curled into tight fists, raw jealousy burning in her eyes.

"What are you staring at?" Killian asked, suddenly appearing right beside her.

Sylvia jumped, instantly looping her arm through his and putting on an act of deep affection as they walked out together.

Once they reached the parking garage, Killian unlocked the driver's side door.

Sylvia's mind was entirely elsewhere, desperately scanning the garage in hopes of bumping into Daniel again. Completely distracted, she reached out and pulled open the back door.

"What, are you sitting in the back now?" Killian asked.

Sylvia finally snapped out of it. "Oh, my mistake."

She slammed the rear door shut, hurried around the front, and slipped into the passenger seat.
