Chapter 174

Chapter 174

Nina stayed cool as a cucumber. “No worries-I’ll send the Animal Mediators over right now,”

44)

After hanging up, she instantly called Mr. Crow’s smartwatch. “Emergency at the park entrance. Parrot Mediation Squad!”

Mr. Crow got the message, flapped his wings with excitement, and hollered up at the sky. “Alright, crew! Time to roll! We’ve got a big mission on our wings!”

Right then, at the entrance to Forest Isle Zoo, things were getting heated.

The old guy, gray-haired and gesturing impatiently at a middle-aged lady, complained, “I’m getting up there in age, my rheumatism is killing me, and I can’t stand for long. Can’t you cut me some slack?”

The lady was being nice and agreed to let him go ahead-but then, to everyone’s shock, the guy waved and his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandkids all joined in.

Five of them just shoved their way to the front, totally ignoring the long line. The crowd, who’d been waiting for half an hour, was furious.

“You said it was just you! How did it turn into a family reunion up here?” someone shouted.

“We’ve been waiting forever! Why should you get to cut in line?” another person shouted.

Tempers flared on both sides, and one more shove and fists were about to fly.

By the time Nina showed up, the scene was straight-up chaos.

To make matters worse, a bunch of media crews were live-streaming the whole mess, and one reporter was busy hyping it up for the viewers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes! So much for that ‘premium experience’ Forest Isle Zoo keeps bragging about!” the reporter sneered.

“It’s just day one, and things are already this messy? Makes you wonder if the folks running this place know what they’re doing!” the reporter added.

The live stream chat went absolutely wild.

[Management’s a total disaster! No way I’d risk taking my kids here!]

[Knew it-viral zoos are all talk. Total letdown!]

[Line jumpers everywhere, and nobody cares? Is security just decoration or what?]

Just then, a park staffer hurried over to try and calm things down. Sir, we totally get your situation. If you need a seat, we can get you one!

“But please, you and your family need to wait in line like everyone else. We’re running on a timed reservation system, so if you just wait your turn, you’ll be inside in about ten minutes. It’s really not long at all!”

But instead of listening, the old guy grabbed the staffer by the collar, eyes blazing. “Who the hell do you think you are, telling me what to do?”

Just as things were about to explode, the wail of sirens suddenly cut through the tension, getting louder by the second.

The old guy jumped, instantly letting go of the staffer, but still tried to act tough. “Seriously, it’s nothing! Do you guys really need to call the cops over this?”

Two police cars screeched to a halt at the scene.

Turns out, there’s been a crew of pickpockets prowling the Kinotus District lately, always targeting places packed with people -and they still haven’t been caught.

The zoo had already told the police about their event, so the officers were there as a precaution to keep the peace.

As the officers hopped out and got the situation under control, they did their best to calm everyone down, all while sneaking curious glances around

They’d been hearing rumors about this zoo’s animal detective squad, and couldn’t help wondering if today might be the day those little helpers would work their magic.

One of the officers stepped forward, speaking sternly. ‘Sir. I’m going to have to ask you to follow the rules and queue properly

The old man grudgingly pulled his hand back, eyeing the officer’s uniform with open disdain. He suddenly raised his voice with a sarcastic tone. ‘Oh, I heard Ms. Summer’s brother is a cop!

So what, you guys just showed up to make your sister look good?”

He made sure the crowd could hear him, shouting, “Hey, everyone! Isn’t this just using your position for personal gain? Burning our tax money to play bodyguard for Forest Isle Zoo?”

The officer’s face turned bright red with anger. This is an officially registered major event—we’re just doing our jobs!”

Just then, a streak of gray zipped right overhead.

The Grey Parrot rolled in with its mediation squad, landing squarely on Nina’s shoulder and flocking at her side.

Nina whipped out the megaphone and stuck it in front of the bird. “Alright, buddy, time to strut your stuff?”

The megaphone suddenly blasted out in a loud, clear voice-full of attitude. ‘Old dude! You sure know how to spin a story, don’t you?

Spinning lies as soon as you open your mouth—what, you think you own the police station? Spouting crap nonstop and expecting someone else to clean up after you. Seriously, got any shame?”

Everyone-fighters and spectators alike-was absolutely stunned, just gaping at the Cockatiel as it mercilessly roasted the

old man.

The Grey Parrot flapped its wings, chest puffed up like a little boss, going all out as it tried to channel every savage phrase Nina had drilled into it.

“Some folks act like their time’s running out-they gotta push ahead in everything, never willing to wait their turn!” The Cockatiel said.

The old man was totally stunned, pointing a shaking finger at the Grey Parrot. “Y-You! How can a bird have such a mouth on

it

The Grey Parrot tilted its head, its beady eyes gleaming like it owned the place. “Who said you’re the kind of person deserves nice words?”

who

With that, it spread its wings and started swooping in low circles over the old man’s head, just like a mini bomber on the attack, chanting the same phrases.

“Get in line! Get in line! Keep it up, and I’ll poop right on your head!” It said.

The Cockatiel’s trash talk buzzed around the old man’s ears, mixing with frantic wing flaps, lingering on and on like surround sound.

The old man and his whole crew stared up nervously at the deadly serious Grey Parrot, half-convinced that justice would come raining down on them at any second.

They ditched all pride, slinking away with their tails between their legs to the back of the line.

A chorus of cockatiels burst into excited wing-flapping, hyping up their champion, the Grey Parrot. In their minds, this Trash-talk King was hands-down the MVP of the day!

The cops watching couldn’t believe their eyes.

Honestly, they’d been worried that Forest Isle Zoo wouldn’t have a clue how to handle a mess like this with such a stubborn line-cutter.

After all, with a shortage of officers, stuff like line disputes-where no laws are really broken-was usually out of their hands. All they could do was try to talk people down, not actually force anyone to behave.

No way did they expect the zoo’s management game to work magic this fast-problem solved, just like that!

Watching that Grey Parrot still doing victory laps overhead, chest puffed out in triumph, one of the younger cops couldn’t help whispering to his buddy, “I gotta admit, that’s some next-level efficiency.

“That bird’s faster at handling chaos than we are!”
