Chapter 175 Deadly Leg Sweep Dance

Chapter 175 Deadly Leg-Sweep Dance

The Cockatiel flapped its little wings furiously and shot up into the air, its sharp eyes locked like a targeting system onto the guy in the baseball cap.

With a quick flick of his hand, the man snatched a phone right out of the front-row lady’s purse.

The Cockatiel squawked at the top of its lungs in bird-speak, “Ms. Summer! There’s a thief!”

Nina, busy keeping everyone in line, whipped around at the noise.

“It’s that one in the cap and mask!” the Cockatiel cried out. “I’m keeping an eye on him!

The Cockatiel hovered high, careful not to spook the thief and worried he’d slip away in the crowd.

But the next second, it spotted the thief using the mass of people as cover, quickly handing off the stolen phone to a middle-aged man.

The two exchanged a subtle, knowing look before casually splitting up, disappearing into the crowd like nothing had happened.

The Cockatiel spun anxiously overhead. “Ms. Summer! He just gave the phone to his accomplice! I can’t track them both!”

Nina’s brows furrowed. ‘It’s a whole crew working together, she thought.

The parrots around had already picked up the warning and responded at once, “We’ve got your back!”

Before anyone could finish those words, a dark shadow swooped past.

Mr. Crow spread his wings wide, strutting with pride and excitement in his voice.

“Leave it to me!” he called out. “Hands off, everyone! Let me have this victory-I’ve gotta show what he’s made of!”

Mr. Crow dove down in a heroic arc, tailing the middle-aged guy with the loot so quietly you’d barely notice.

The Cockatiel made a sharp aerial twist, never letting the masked guy out of its sight for even a second.

The other six parrots split into two teams, moving with the precision of secret agents, each rallying behind their chosen captain.

Back at the gate, only the Grey Parrot was left, never leaving his post and tirelessly blasting announcements for all to hear.

The Grey Parrot kept blaring through his megaphone on a loop, “Line up! Be civilized! Cutting in line is shameful!”

Nina quickly lowered her voice and signaled to two nearby police officers. “Officers, we just got a tip-off-there’s a thief in the park!”

The officers’ faces turned grave. “We’ll alert our plainclothes teammates inside right away!”

“I’ve already sent the squad to tail them,” Nina added quickly, her voice resolute. “According to their observation, it’s a whole gang.”

“Have your plainclothes officers follow the parrots,” Nina instructed firmly. “Make sure none of them gets away-we can’t let these crooks split up and keep making trouble!”

Mr. Crow was wearing a smartwatch, so they could track his location at all times.

Acting on instinct, Nina marched off at top speed, following right behind the Cockatiel’s flight.

Meanwhile, Quentin, sporting the snow leopard ears and tail, felt downright self-conscious as he tucked himself away in a shadowy corner, quickly slipping on his mask.

If any staff saw him dressed like this and snapped a photo for social media, he’d be toast.

Mask in place, Quentin grabbed Shadow, ready to look for Nina-only to spot her darting straight toward him.

She was charging ahead like a Little Alpaca on the run, her footsteps thudding quickly and purposefully his way.

Her eyes lit up the moment she spotted him, like she’d just found her knight in shining armor. “Come on! Follow me-we gotta catch up to that Cockatiel!”

‘Seriously? You expect me to chase after someone on foot?’ Nina grumbled inwardly, already feeling dubious. ‘No way I can keep up with that. My stamina is a total joke.’

Quentin barely had time to react before Nina seized his hand, yanking him forward without a word, towing him right after the Cockatiel soaring above them.

They kept their eyes glued to the target, racing through the park together.

As they passed the giraffe enclosure, they saw two giraffes, awkward yet determined, trying their best to follow the keeper’

s instructions, busting out moves for the leg-sweep dance.

The crowd was in stitches, everyone pulling out their phones to film the scene.

“This is hilarious! They’ve got those long-leg effects built right in!” someone shouted.

“I’m dying! No need for any leg-stretching filter with these guys!” another person laughed.

“Whoever came up with the idea of making giraffes do a leg-sweep dance is an absolute genius!” someone else chimed in.

The taller giraffe, because of its height, had been placed toward the back by the keeper.

It swept its long legs with obvious reluctance, grumbling the whole time. “Why do I have to be stuck in the back? That little guy up front is hogging all the attention!” the tall one muttered.

The shorter giraffe, grinning as it played to the crowd, looked back to reassure its taller companion.

“Oh, don’t be mad! It’s just that your legs are so long, you barely fit in the frame!” it comforted.

The tall giraffe snorted through its nose.

“Look at you, always laying on the sweet talk!” it grumbled. “You snagged center stage this time just because you buttered up Ms. Summer last round, didn’t you?”

Even as it complained, its long, flexible tail gave a little secret wag-clearly that compliment hit just right.

Meanwhile, the masked guy had already melted right into the crowd, his sly eyes flicking around, always hunting for the next mark.

He’d just swiped a phone when a tourist suddenly yelped, “Hey, where’s my phone?”

“Thief!” Instantly, panic broke out, and the crowd went wild.

Seeing things go south, the masked guy tried to make a run for it. Nina, lightning-fast, reached out and snagged Quentin by the snow leopard’s tail. “Chase him-now!”

The sudden grab made Quentin’s ears flush red, but he didn’t hesitate for a second. With Nina pulling him along, he shot forward like a rocket.

The masked guy dashed frantically through the crowd, but when he realized he was trapped with no escape, he panicked and made a desperate leap over the fence into the giraffe enclosure, sprinting full tilt toward the back wall.

“Hmm? A thief?” The tall giraffe’s ears perked up, mid-dance, instantly alert. Its eyes sparkled-finally, this was its moment to shine!

With smooth elegance, it swung its long leg high and swept it across with pinpoint precision, like a pro goalie guarding the

net.

Bang!

The masked guy’s feet went out from under him, and he tumbled head over heels, rolling across the ground like a human bowling ball.
