The Fragrance Queen's Final Note novel Chapter 106

One had to admit, Aurélle was a massive empire. Just the CEO's office alone had over a dozen secretaries.

Stepping into the lavish, expansive CEO's suite, they immediately spotted the sharply handsome man sitting on the lounge sofa.

He was dressed in a meticulously tailored pure black suit that flawlessly accented his broad shoulders and lean, muscular build, giving him a tall, imposing presence. He wore no tie, leaving the top two buttons of his shirt casually undone. His cold arrogance was laced with a hint of effortless nonchalance.

Stanley was the kind of man born with an overwhelming aura. Like a predator lying in wait, he was so devastatingly handsome it felt aggressive, yet the sheer pressure he radiated made it hard to breathe.

When his careless gaze swept over them.

Renata's heart skipped a beat. In their previous two encounters, she had been too terrified to ever look at him properly.

Only now did she realize how unbelievably charismatic he was.

Zander marched straight toward Stanley, enthusiastically extending his hand. "Mr. Zimmer, apologies for the unannounced visit today. I hope we aren't intruding!"

Stanley didn't even look at his hand, let alone shake it.

His eyes lingered on Queenie for a fraction of a second before he gestured to the sofa. "Sit."

Assuming he was speaking to her, Renata happily sat down.

Zander awkwardly retracted his hand and took a seat as well, immediately cutting to the chase.

"Mr. Zimmer, about the financial forum the other day... it was purely my mistake. I was having a minor argument with my wife and was in a foul mood, so my words were a bit aggressive.

I've felt incredibly guilty these past two days and have been doing a lot of deep reflection..."

"Alright, save the hypocritical corporate apologies. Do you think I have nothing better to do than listen to your garbage?" Stanley interrupted ruthlessly.

Thinking she was being clever, Renata immediately chimed in, convinced her intervention would smooth everything over.

"Mr. Zimmer, please allow me to say a word on Mr. Calvert's behalf. Actually..."

"Hold on." Stanley raised a hand, his face void of emotion as he cut her off. His condescending gaze swept over her. "In what capacity are you speaking for him?"

Renata froze instantly.
