The Fragrance Queen's Final Note novel Chapter 70

Jocelyn deliberately shouted at the top of her lungs again.

Drawing even more people over to watch the spectacle.

Some had even started pulling out their phones, ready to shove their cameras right in Renata's face.

Renata was so angry smoke was practically pouring out of her ears, but she didn't dare stick around. She could only tuck her tail between her legs and flee the scene in disgrace.

Behind her, Jocelyn picked up the watch she had just been trying on and shouted at her retreating back, "Hey! Witch! Aren't you gonna buy your watch?!"

Walking out of the boutique, Queenie was laughing so hard her face cramped.

"Jocelyn, I finally understand how you became the CEO's secretary at Aurélle. With that venomous mouth of yours, you're practically the undisputed champion of trash-talking."

"Haha, she was just unlucky she ran into me. So, feeling any better?"

"Much better. Come on, lunch is on me!"

...

The next day, Queenie packed her bags, ready to head to the UK with Jocelyn.

They had agreed to meet at the airport. She arrived first, and after waiting in the lounge for a short while, Jocelyn jogged over to her with a bright smile.

"Queenie, you're already here! Come on, we're taking the VIP channel. We have a private jet."

"A private jet?" Queenie was surprised. "They send a private jet for a secretary's business trip?"

"Of course not! Mr. Zimmer and Miles are coming too!"

Hearing Miles's name, Queenie instantly wanted to back out. "Mr. Zimmer and the others are coming too? That doesn't seem appropriate. I'm a contestant, tagging along with the corporate sponsor to source ingredients. That's against the rules."

"Oh, it's fine! You're just hitching a ride. They won't mind."

Seeing Queenie standing there looking deeply conflicted, Jocelyn knew exactly what she was worried about.

She leaned in and teased in a low voice, "Don't worry about Miles. About that whole window-jumping incident... as long as you're not embarrassed, he's the one who'll be embarrassed."
