"I have no idea."
After dropping the teasing remark, Renata looked at Queenie with a smug, provocative smile, as if to say, *What are you going to do about it?*
"Go ahead and expose me. If you have the proof, by all means, tell everyone."
Just as the tension between them reached a boiling point, another car pulled in.
Seeing that it was Marilyn's car, Queenie temporarily swallowed her anger and stepped into the villa first.
Marilyn got out of the car, accompanied by her husband, Simon.
Renata intentionally avoided Simon's gaze and put on a calm face as she eagerly greeted Marilyn. "Marilyn, you're here!"
"Yes, Mom hasn't been in good health this year, so we came to spend the holiday with her."
The two women linked arms affectionately and walked toward the villa together.
"Why is Queenie back? Didn't she move out?"
Marilyn asked angrily, recalling the silhouette she had just spotted.
"She's probably having a hard time out there. Coming back for the holidays is her way of giving herself a way out."
"How embarrassing. She's just a parasite clinging to my brother, and she still had the nerve to run away from home."
Marilyn snorted contemptuously. "Without my brother, she'd starve in the gutter!"
Chatting away, the two entered the living room.
They immediately spotted Queenie sitting casually on the sofa, scrolling through her phone.
Marilyn instantly flew into a rage. "Queenie, it's a holiday today. Can't you go help out in the kitchen?"
"Marilyn, you're back to your old habits again."
