When I arrived at one of my apartments at 8 PM, I was welcomed by the butler. I still didn’t feel like having anything to eat for dinner, so I asked him to wait for further instructions.

With that out of the way, I headed straight to the bathroom and topped right in front of the mirror. Not only did my cheeks still look a bit red from those slaps, I could still feel the discomfort in my jaw from that punch and I massaged it a

few times.

It wasn’t Margot’s reaction to my disrespect that was still on my mind. It was my encounter with Maddox. I still couldn’t believe that he had accepted the challenge. I expected him to throw more punches, but he didn’t. Was he really trying to lose? Did he not care that much about his relationship with Harper? Or was he stupid enough to believe that I wouldn’t succeed?

Since she wanted nothing to do with me, there weren’t too many ways to get to her so we could be as close as we used to be. The more I thought about it, the more frustrated I got as I didn’t know what to do. I had already told him that I’d come out on top and I intended to do that.

I was about to turn away from the mirror when an idea came to mind and slowly, I directly faced the mirror again, a smirk growing on my lips as I nodded with satisfaction like it had already happened. It was a perfect plan and as soon as their relationship would start falling apart, I would be there to step in so Harper would have a shoulder to lean on.

With that in mind, I left the bathroom quickly and came back to the bedroom to reach for my phone. I didn’t even bother scrolling through my contacts as I knew that I didn’t have the phone number of the particular person I was looking for.

Instead, I used social media and it was easy to find her profile because her username was her actual name.

We’d met at a few wild parties in the past and she knew who I was, but we never did anything more than kissing. She might have even forgotten about it. That’s why when I texted her, I didn’t expect a quick reply.

There was so much work on my shoulders that I didn’t have time to just sit around, so I finally told the butler what I wanted to have for dinner, then headed to the study to go over some documents.

When dinner was served, I came to the dining table and enjoyed the whole meal alone. The first time I had to do that on my own, I thought I’d never get used to it, but there I was.

I was now used to that as I couldn’t imagine myself sitting across from Tiffany and watching her eat while she carried another man’s child and continued to fuck him.

After the meal. I headed back to the study and worked for about two hours.

Then, I finally received a reply from her. It was quite the surprisg as I thought it would only happen this following day already 10:30 PM, but that didn’t bother me much. I was just glad she didn’t ignore my text

“Hmm, what’s this about?” She giggled. “Trying to get in my pants for real this time?”

I shut my eyes as soon as she said it. That was something I had put at the back of my mind.

I didn’t want to waste time as she was waiting for me to speak, so responded quickly while trying to stay polite as I needed

“It’s nothing like that,” I said as I typed something fast and sent it to her, “but I have an offer you won’t be able to resist. Come to this address. How long will it take for you to get here?”

“Whoa, easy. I didn’t say yes just yet.”

“That doesn’t matter because you won’t be able to say no.”

It took a lot of convincing for her to agree to meet me, but it finally worked.

“Fine, I’m on my way. It’ll take me about 20 minutes.”

“I’ll be waiting for you.”

When the call came to an end, I put down the phone with a smirk of satisfaction. I was ready to take Harper away from Maddox and make her mine.

It was close to 1 AM and Harper and I should’ve one to bed, but we were still on the balcony sofa.

Part of my arm was along the backrest while my forearm was curved inward so I could hold her close. I couldn’t keep the other hand to myself as I kept touching her wrist, her bare thighs and even the side of her waist, like if I didn’t touch her or look at her, she might disappear.

She’d let me do it for a while as she was still catching her breath after riding me hard, but when she had it all under control, she looked up at my face with lips curved into a smile and a curious look in her eyes.

Her expression softened even more and she leaned in for a gentle kiss, like we hadn’t done that for hours. But I could never get tired of tasting those lips.
