Chapter 61
“Yes,” Elena quickly replied. “I’m free to see the two of you!”
She couldn’t believe it. Her husband had actually agreed to see her! And with Mr. Fabio there, Elena was confident she could plead her case–maybe she wouldn’t be divorced after all!
“Excellent,” Mr. Fabio replied just as cheerily. “Then I’ll see you at the Violet Garden to

“Yes! For sure, Mr. Fabio. I can’t wait to see the both of you there.”
“The reservation will be under Fabio,” the old man told her. “Have a wonderful day, my dear.”
Elena stared at her phone in awe. Had her husband perhaps decided against giving her the cold shoulder? There were no new text messages from him, but maybe he wanted to tell Elena directly in person?
Had her dirty text messages made a difference?
Elena wasn’t sure, but she decided against trying to unsend them–not that she even knew how to fully unsend them. It would just look weird if there were a string of unsent messages anyway.
Elena hurriedly put her clothes back on. She had a date! Tomorrow!
She needed to go to bed now. That way she could start getting ready early.
Elena was determined to meet her husband tomorrow. She fell asleep thinking up plans of what to say to him after being ignored for so long.
Elena did in fact wake up early. She decided to make a hearty breakfast of omelettes and hash–browns.
Her mother used to love cooking, but Elena truthfully didn’t have the time or energy for the hobby. Elena
wondered absently if her mother had found a new lover. She hoped she had–maybe she had married a cook and they were busy running a diner together.
The thought made Elena smile.
“Someone’s chipper,” Aria said as she entered the kitchen. “Don’t tell me my dear husband changed your day off for this week.”
“No,” Elena replied with a giggle.
Elena had made two omelettes–one for herself and another for Aria. She plated them both and them each at side of the cut–up potatoes. Elena gave Aria one of the plates.
“I’m meeting up with my husband and his grandfather for lunch,” Elena said cheerfully.
Aria had taken a bite of the omelette and nearly choked on her food. “For real?”
“Yes!” Elena enthused. “We’re meeting at the Violet Garden. It’s going to be great.”
“I’m so happy for you,” Aria said, “but I am a little sad that we won’t get to hang out. I guess I’ll text my husband and see if he’s free for a date.”
“Maybe we can all go on a double date sometime,” Elena suggested.
Aria laughed. “Hopefully they both go much better than our last double date. That last one was super awkward

“It won’t be,” Elena promised. “I have a good feeling about this meeting. I know my husband is a good man.”
Aria quickly texted Massimo, asking if he had any plans for today.
“Just the lunch date with you and grandfather.”
“Awesome,” Aria replied. “I can’t wait to see my two favorite guys.‘
“Are you all good?” Elena asked.
