The Moment I Realized I Can't Lose You novel Chapter 65

Back at Audrey's apartment, Bianca plopped down next to her on the sofa. Audrey had been staring blankly at the wall for an hour.

"Stop looking so miserable," Bianca scolded lightly, shoving her phone into Audrey's face. A video of shirtless, ridiculously toned men dancing filled the screen.

"You want to go out and hit the clubs with me?" Bianca's gaze drifted down to Audrey's perfectly flat stomach. "Once the baby starts showing in a few months, your partying days are over for a long time."

Audrey remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. "You're right. Let's do it."

When she used to write scripts, she often included scenes of her protagonists letting loose in nightclubs. But because she had never actually been to one, the scenes always felt hollow and fake.

She had always wanted to experience it. When she lived with her grandparents, she avoided places like that so they wouldn't worry. And after marrying Joaquin, she had suffocated herself under the strict, elegant rules of high society. Whenever Bianca invited her out, she politely declined to protect the Judd family's pristine reputation.

But she was moved out now, and the divorce was imminent. She was done playing the perfect billionaire's wife.

"Yes!" Bianca cheered, pressing a giant kiss to Audrey's cheek. "I have been waiting for this day forever! You're young and gorgeous. You need to get out there and try everything you've been missing. How will you know what you like if you never experiment?"

Bianca sighed, her smile softening. "Every time you rejected my invites because of Joaquin, I was annoyed, but I was also happy for you. I thought you were living out your fairy tale with the man you've loved for years. I thought you were happy. But to see how much you sacrificed, only for him to completely ignore you for that manipulative, two-faced cousin of yours... It makes me sick. If I had known he was so heartless, I would have dragged you to a divorce lawyer months ago."

"Enough," Audrey smiled, standing up. "No more talking about things that ruin the mood. I don't exactly have clubbing clothes. Can I borrow something?"

"Say less!"
