The Moment I Realized I Can't Lose You novel Chapter 66

From the floor, Bianca was screaming at the top of her lungs. "Yes, Audrey! You look incredible! This is the real you! You were meant to shine like this! Let Joaquin and Rainey rot in hell—tonight is all about you!"

Joaquin's face was a mask of pure, murderous rage as he stepped up behind her and tapped her shoulder. "Who should rot in hell?"

Bianca didn't recognize the voice over the blaring bass. Assuming it was just some guy she knew from the scene, she didn't bother turning around.

"My best friend's garbage ex-husband," she shouted proudly, pointing at Audrey. "That's my girl up there. Gorgeous, right? Her ex is a blind dog who threw her away to play nurse to a crying, manipulative little bitch. Can you believe—"

Bianca turned her head, her eyes locking onto the terrifying, ice-cold glare of the man standing behind her. The words died in her throat. Her eyes went wide with sheer terror. "Mr... Mr. Judd! What are you doing here?"

"If I wasn't here," Joaquin said, his voice dropping the temperature in the room by ten degrees, "how would I have heard you calling me a blind dog and telling me to rot in hell?"

Bianca felt the blood drain from her face. She swallowed hard, desperately trying to backpedal. "Mr. Judd, you misunderstood, I didn't mean—"

Suddenly, the song transitioned, and the crowd began chanting in unison. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
