Chapter 110
Chapter 110
“Boss!” he shouted with excitement.
Hannah Carter turned to him, looking a bit surprised. “Piggy?”
“It’s me!” Piggy grinned and nodded. “You look way better in person than in your ID photo!”
Piggy was his codename, his real name was Van.
Hannah Carter hadn’t expected to run into him here. What a coincidence.
Barnaby Thole, lounging on the couch with his phone, sensed something fishy in their conversation and shot a look at Van
The boy stood about six feet tall, looking handsome and barely twenty, with ash-gray hair that really stood out.
‘Piggy?’ Barnaby wondered, a bit confused.
He frowned and suddenly stood up.
Ronin Vale had been about to send him away, but seeing they knew each other, he didn’t stop Van anymore.
“What’s up?” Hannah Carter asked.
She vaguely overheard him asking about some medicine earlier.
“My friend ate something bad and now his stomach’s acting up. He forgot to bring his meds, so I wanted to see if you guys have anything for stomach issues,” Van said, frowning.
Knowing Hannah Carter was good with medicine, he added, “Could you come over and check on him? It’s really close, less than a hundred meters away.”
“Why don’t you just call 911 and get him to the hospital?” Barnaby said coldly as he walked over.
Barnaby casually moved to stand in front of Hannah, making it clear she was with him.
Hannah lost her words.
Van met Barnaby’s gaze and was hit with a commanding presence, like a king, sharp and intimidating.
‘Man, this guy’s cold as ice,’ Van thought to himself.
That possessive attitude made it crystal clear Barnaby and Boss had no ordinary relationship.
“He’s a celebrity, and he’s on set right now. It’s really not convenient for him to go to the hospital,” Van explained.
“Doesn’t the crew have a doctor on set?” Barnaby asked.
“He just happened to be off today,” Van replied.
“Convenient, huh?” Barnaby said, his tone dripping with disbelief.
Van could only stare, lost for words.
Hannah Carter gave Barnaby a surprised look, thinking, ‘Why is he being so chatty today?’
“I’ll go check on him,” she told Van.

Chapter 110
“Would that be too much trouble?” Van asked, shooting a cautious look at Barnaby.
This guy really looks like someone you don’t want to mess with, Van thought.
“It would.”
“It wouldn’t.”
Barnaby and Hannah said in unison.
Hannah lost her words.
Van could only stare, lost for words.
Hannah Carter went back to her room, grabbed her acupuncture kit, took off her camera, and handed it to Barnaby.
“Barnaby, I’ll go check on him. You guys go have fun. I’ll find you later. Show me the way,” she said.
The last part was clearly for Van.
Van could feel Barnaby’s vibe turn even icier after Hannah spoke, and the look Barnaby gave him was like a dagger, cold and intimidating.
“No, I’m going with you,” Barnaby said, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Hannah lost her words.
“Thanks,” Van gulped, then turned and started leading the way.
Van and Hannah walked up front, while Barnaby, whose thigh was still healing, had to take it slow. The muddy, uneven path didn’t help either, so he fell a few steps behind them.
“Boss, you’re already dating? And you picked someone this scary?”
Van glanced back, then leaned in and whispered to Hannah.
“Keep guessing, and I’ll dock your commission,” Hannah said coldly.
Van’s eyes went wide. “Dock it again? I’m only getting 1% as it is! If you take any more, I’ll be left with nothing!”
Hannah shot him a look, and Van immediately clapped a hand over his mouth.
“Call me Hannah, and remember to stick to the NDA,” Hannah warned him.
Van nodded quickly, looking serious.
Barnaby, lagging behind, watched them whispering to each other, didn’t even wait up for him. His face was as cold as ice.
He’d just warned Owen Croft a few days ago, and now there was another pretty boy hanging around.
‘Why does she attract so many hopeless suitors?’ Barnaby thought, annoyed.
He glanced down at the stones on the path, then deliberately kicked one, making it clatter against another and creating a loud noise.
Hannah heard the sound and immediately turned around.
Barnaby was standing by a big rock, gazing at her from a distance. “Babe, my leg hurts.”

Chapter 110
Hannah lost her words.
Why’d you even come along if your leg’s messed up? Hannah thought, totally exasperated.
She was pretty sure Barnaby was just being dramatic, but she couldn’t bring herself to ignore him, so she turned back to help him out.
Once Barnaby got what he wanted, he shot Van a cold look.
Van could only stare, lost for words.
‘Man, what a scheming boy!’ Van thought.
After walking a short distance, they could already spot the film crew working by the beach from afar.
Behind the set, a huge beach umbrella was propped up, and four or five assistants were hovering around a man sprawled out on a lounge chair.
They were bringing him water, wiping his sweat, and fanning him, treating him like he was royalty.
Van led the group over, and one of the assistants noticed him, called out, “Yo, Van!” and stepped aside to let him through.
The man sprawled on the lounge chair was clearly mixed-race. At the sound, he suddenly opened his eyes. Those crystal blue eyes were absolutely stunning.
Hannah recognized him right away. It was Oliver Cruz, the movie superstar whose ads seemed to be everywhere you looked.
“Babe, where did you go?” Oliver reached out and grabbed Van’s hand.
“I found you a doctor,” Van said, quickly pulling his hand away and stepping to the side.
Oliver glanced at the two people behind Van. One had that icy, high-class aura, while the other looked so ethereal, like a fairy untouched by the mortal world.
No matter how he looked at them, neither of them seemed like doctors at all.
Barnaby was sizing up Oliver too, thinking, ‘Good thing my girl isn’t starstruck.
But from the way Van and Oliver interacted, Barnaby could tell those two definitely had something going on. He quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
‘Guess the bad romance alert is off for now,’ Barnaby thought.
Hannah Carter gave Oliver a calm, indifferent glance. Even with the light makeup, he still looked exhausted.
She stepped forward, totally unfazed, and said, “Take off your shirt.”
Barnaby just stared at her, not saying a word.
Barnaby said, ‘Wait, what?!’
“Hold up,” a burly assistant blocked Hannah’s way. “Do you even have a medical license?”
‘She doesn’t even look old enough to be an adult,’ the assistant thought, eyeing her skeptically.
‘Oliver’s health is way too valuable to let just anyone treat him. If something goes wrong, none of us could take the blame,’ the assistant fretted.

Chapter 110
Van leaned in and whispered something to Oliver, who then said, “Beary, move aside.”
Without a care for all the eyes on him, Oliver just stripped off his shirt, revealing his tanned, muscular upper body.
Beary hesitated for a second, but since Oliver had spoken, he had no choice but to step aside.
Hannah stepped up, crouched down, and spread out her acupuncture kit right on the sand. She pulled out a needle, flicked on a lighter to sterilize it, then stuck it straight into the middle of Oliver’s stomach.
Beary’s brows knitted together. ‘Seriously? The beach is filthy! She just sets everything down on the dirty sand?
And she’s not even using alcohol to clean the needle?’
‘She’s really just sticking that needle into Oliver like it’s no big deal? What if he catches something?”
Beary was getting anxious, but he didn’t dare say a word. The icy aura coming off Barnaby was enough to keep him silent.
Beary snuck a look and realized that icy pressure was coming straight from Barnaby.
Barnaby watched as Hannah’s slender fingers moved over Oliver, feeling for the right spot before placing the needle. His brows were furrowed so tight, it looked like he could crush a fly between them
He wasn’t happy about it, but he didn’t say a word.
Fifteen minutes later, Hannah removed the needle, and Oliver’s complexion visibly improved.
“Hannah, thank you so much! Let me treat you all to dinner tonight,” Van said happily.
“No need,” Barnaby replied coolly, immediately pulling up a QR code on his phone. “That’s one million. Please pay.”
