Chapter 208 Don’t Mix Things Up
Chloe immediately grabbed Hannah’s arm and shook her head, making it clear she shouldn’t go.
Joe stepped in front of Hannah. “Our doctors don’t do house calls. If you want to see a doctor, I can drive over with you and bring the patient here.”
“Damn it, are you deaf or something? Smash this shithole!” Christopher kicked another chair over and waved his hand, signaling his guys to start wrecking the place.
The patients and kids in the clinic started bawling their eyes out, scared out of their wits.
“I’ll go with you!” Hannah spoke up.
Chloe and Joe tried to talk her out of it, but Hannah stopped them, telling them to relax and take care of the patients. She promised she’d be right back.
Christopher liked Hannah’s nerve. He ran his tongue over his lip ring, told his crew to stand down, then took Hannah to his car and headed back to his place.
Honestly, he was just here to stir up trouble, mostly just to spite his old man.
For some reason, his dad suddenly got it into his head. He’d been doing fine with the legendary Nameless Healer, but as soon as he heard Hannah had opened a clinic, he dropped the Nameless Healer and insisted on seeing this so-called miracle doctor instead.
Then something went wrong, and his dad still wouldn’t let it go, still wanted to see Hannah. That just made Christopher even more pissed.
But the real reason he showed up was because Daisy told him to come over, hold someone accountable, and blow off some steam.
He hadn’t expected to run into Hannah, who looked like some kind of fairy. That made him rethink everything.
Forty minutes later, they pulled up to the Todd family mansion.
Hannah followed Christopher inside. The place was massive, but not a single soul was in sight.
When they finally reached Mr. Todd’s room, there was a caregiver standing by. Mr. Todd was lying in bed with his eyes closed.
Hannah took a look and turned to the caregiver, “What’s his condition right now?”
The caregiver, a woman in her forties, kept her eyes on the floor and said, “That’s for Christopher to decide.”
“Oh? So you’re a doctor now, Christopher?” Hannah shot him a look.
Her cool gaze seemed to see right through him, and Christopher suddenly felt a little uneasy. He raised his voice and snapped,
“Are you blind? Can’t you see he’s paralyzed? So, how are you going to answer for this?”
Hannah didn’t look away, her gaze steady as she asked, “So, how do you want to settle this?”
Christopher ran his tongue over his lip ring and smirked, “Here’s the deal. My old man’s biggest wish is to have a grandson. Spend a few nights with me, give him a chubby grandkid, and we’ll call it even.”
Hannah let out a cold, mocking laugh. “Oh, and that’s supposed to cure him?”
Christopher coughed awkwardly, trying to play it cool. “That’s not for you to worry about. Your crappy clinic can’t fix him anyway, so you’ll just have to find another way to pay us back.”
Hannah let out a cold laugh, set her bag on the table, and pulled out a set of needles. She picked out the thickest one and turned to Mr. Todd, who was lying in bed.
Christopher felt a chill run down his spine and immediately stepped forward, shouting, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
“Let me show you whether our clinic can actually cure people,” Hannah said coolly. “This ten-inch needle is perfect for paralyzed patients. Stick it right into the sole of the foot, and even someone who’s been a vegetable for ten years can wake up.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Mr. Todd gasped, his eyes flying open as he shouted, “You little brat! Are you trying to get her to kill me so you can inherit everything’

When Mr. Todd saw the thick, cold-glinting needle in Hannah’s hand, he freaked out, worried she might actually stab him with it. He quickly protested, “I’m not paralyzed, but I really can’t move!”
He wasn’t pretending to be unconscious. He woke up this morning and suddenly found his lower body wouldn’t budge. The family doctor kept saying it was Hannah’s fault, but Christopher refused to let anyone take him to her, insisting on calling the Nameless Healer instead.
The Nameless Healer gave him several rounds of treatment. At first, the acupuncture seemed to help a bit, but it was just a temporary fix, and his symptoms kept coming back.
Not long ago, the Nameless Healer prescribed some special medicine, but it made him nauseous, dizzy, and even made him throw up, so he stopped taking it. Then he found out Hannah, the miracle doctor who’d once treated his wife, was back and had opened a clinic, so he immediately booked an appointment.
After coming back from Hannah’s clinic, he’d been perfectly fine for a couple of days, but then out of the blue, he suddenly couldn’t move at all today.
He had a lot of faith in Hannah as a doctor, but Christopher didn’t trust her one bit. In fact, because of what happened to his mom, he actually resented Hannah.
So Christopher went to the Nameless Healer again, and the healer agreed to treat Mr. Todd, but only if Christopher first went to Hannah’s clinic to confront her and make it clear that she wasn’t the one to blame for these symptoms.
With Christopher using threats and bribes involving the company, Mr. Todd had no choice but to play along with his son’s scheme.

After checking Mr. Todd’s pulse, Hannah frowned slightly. “Was Daisy Reese the one treating you before?”
“How did you know that?” Ryan was genuinely surprised. He hadn’t even mentioned the Nameless Healer.
“Didn’t you say that?” Mr. Todd looked at Ryan.
“I didn’t!” Christopher protested.
After Christopher said that, both he and his dad shot Hannah a suspicious look. “Did you snoop around about us or something?”
Hannah was speechless.
She explained, “Your body’s symptoms told me all I needed to know.”
Daisy’s style is all about pumping patients full of hormones to cover up the symptoms, never mind what kind of nasty side effects those meds might have.
Mr. Todd stared at Hannah, eyes wide with awe. ‘She just took my pulse and already knows my whole medical history?’
‘Now that’s a real miracle doctor!’
“Did she also give you some kind of pills?” Hannah asked.
“Wait, you figured that out just from my pulse?” Mr. Todd was even more impressed, nodding. “Yeah, but I only took them once. My body couldn’t take it, so I stopped.”
Hannah’s eyes narrowed with a satisfied glint. ‘Knew it!’
Seeing Hannah stay silent, Christopher snapped, “What’s the problem? Daisy Reese is the Nameless Healer. She couldn’t possibly screw up! It’s your miracle doctor who’s behind all this!”
“Daisy Reese is Daisy Reese, and the Nameless Healer is the Nameless Healer. Don’t go mixing them up,” Hannah replied coldly.
Christopher met her icy gaze and, for a moment, forgot to act tough. “What are you trying to say?”
“Wait, Ms. Reese isn’t the Nameless Healer?” Mr. Todd was the first to realize.
Christopher immediately shot back, “Are you kidding me? If she’s not the Nameless Healer, how the hell does she have the guts to treat people using that name? Don’t give me that crap. So what are you gonna do now?”
Hannah kept her face icy as she commanded, “Take off his shirt and turn him over.”
Christopher bristled at her tone, pointed at himself and snapped, “Who the hell do you think you are, bossing me around?”
“Just do what she says! Quit your whining!” Mr. Todd barked.
“Alright, suit yourself,” Christopher said, pointing at Hannah.
Even though he was annoyed, he still did as she said, taking off Mr. Todd’s shirt and flipping him over.

As he was turning over, Mr. Todd quickly asked Hannah, “Wait, you’re not actually going to stick that ten-inch needle in my foot, are you?”
“Dad, you better keep quiet. A grown man like you, scared of a needle in your foot? That’s just embarrassing, Christopher mocked.
“Shut up! It’s not you getting stabbed, so quit with the smart remarks!” Mr. Todd snapped.
Hannah was speechless.
She picked up a thin needle, ran it lightly down Mr. Todd’s spine, searching for the right spot, then pressed it in.
