Chapter 213 Daisy Reese’s Finest Hour

Chapter 213 Daisy Reese’s Finest Hour

Time flew by, and before they knew it, Sunday had arrived.

At ten in the morning, Hannah Carter, dressed in a white silk dress, and Evelyn Carter, in a dark green one, left their apartment complex with Joe Jones driving them to the Kinswood Imperial Hotel.

The grand and elegant hall was filled with guests, all mingling, raising their glasses, and enjoying the luxurious atmosphere.

Their arrival caught the attention of many guests, who gave them curious glances.

Everyone here was either loaded or well-connected, dressed head-to-toe in designer labels, sporting luxury watches, and rolling up in fancy cars.

But these two, even though their traditional silk dresses looked elegant and well-made, clearly weren’t from any big-name brands. And to top it off, they actually showed up in a regular Volkswagen, probably worth less than thirty thousand.

To the rich crowd here, arriving in a Volkswagen was basically the same as showing up in a taxi.

“Are these two lost or something?” one guest muttered, glancing over with a smirk.

“Isn’t that the Nameless Healer, Hannah Carter, who was all over the internet a while back? The one who threw a massive launch party for her clinic?” another guest chimed in.

“If she could pull off such a big event, why’s she dressed so plain?” someone else wondered aloud.

“She’s just a small-town Nameless Healer. Bet this is her first time at a fancy party like this, probably has no clue how to dress for it,” another guest scoffed.

“I heard these two spent all their time up in the mountains. They’re fresh out of the boonies and have never seen anything this upscale before,” someone else added.

Many guests leaned in, whispering behind their hands and gossiping nonstop.

Then, seeing the two of them skip all the pleasantries and networking, heading straight for the buffet and digging in like it was their last meal, the muttering got even more pointed.

“Seriously, did they come here on an empty stomach?” one guest snickered.

“Hey, if you’re here, you might as well stuff yourself. It’s not every day you get to eat at the Imperial,” another joked.

“If Daisy Reese hadn’t invited them, they would never have gotten through the doors of the Imperial Hotel in their whole lives,” one guest sneered.

“For real. The Imperial Hotel belongs to the Thole Group. It’s not a place just anyone can afford to even walk into,” another added with a smirk.

Daisy Reese, dressed in a sleek red traditional dress with a bright red cape draped over her shoulders, her long hair cascading down, glided through the crowd with a glass of champagne in hand, her smile dazzling as she mingled with the guests.

When she caught sight of Hannah Carter at the buffet, surrounded by guests pointing and whispering, her eyes flashed with a hint of scorn.

This was worlds apart.

One was basking in the spotlight, while the other was left out in the cold.

Daisy Reese let out a soft, mocking laugh, lifted her chin, and continued greeting the guests, basking in their admiration.

Just then, Julie Harrington came over to tell her the VIPS had arrived, and Daisy’s face broke into a bright smile as she eagerly went to welcome them.

“Howard, Iris, Mr. Huni, Mr. Dunn, Mr. Whitmore, Mr. Huaii, Mr. Lobert. Welcome, welcome!” Daisy called out warmly.

The arrival of this headline VIP group once again made Daisy Reese the undisputed center of attention at the party.

There was Howard Thole, the fourth son of the Thole family, Iris Thole, the family’s heiress, the Mayor Mr. Huni from Kinswood, Mr. Dunn from the Food and Drug Administration, Jonathan Whitmore, president of the Traditional Medicine Association, Mr. Huaii from the Western Medicine Association, and Mr. Lobert from the Health Bureau.

Every single one of them was a VIP, a real heavyweight in the world of medicine and public affairs.

Successfully unlocked!

Trailing behind them was a row of ceremonial yal, Vacht holding a boghtbauner.

“Bright Angel, Healer of the People!”

“Virtue and skill, warming hearts and healing far and wide!”

“Miraculous hands restore health, noble virtue warms every heart!”

“Three magic needles work wonders, and with just a touch, illness fades away!”

Every word of praise was the highest honor for Daisy Reese’s unmatched medical expertise.

The crowd was fired up, everyone buzzing with excitement.

“That’s some next-level skill. No wonder they call you the Nameless Healer!” someone shouted.

“Nameless Healer, you’re a national treasure! A true legend in traditional medicine!” another guest cheered.

“Nameless Healer, you’re the GOAT!” someone else yelled.

“The Nameless Healer’s miracle cure should totally win a Nobel Prize, right?” someone teased.

Daisy Reese was all smiles, soaking up the compliments. “Thanks so much for all your support and recognition! Promise I’ll keep giving it my all!”

Just then, the host on stage called for everyone to take their seats. The party was about to kick off.

Daisy Reese glanced over at the entrance, not spotting Barnaby Thole anywhere. She leaned in close to Iris and whispered,” Iris… Barnaby, he’s not here yet, is he?”

“Don’t worry, he’ll definitely be here today,” Iris said softly, giving Daisy’s hand a reassuring squeeze.

Daisy let out a sigh of relief, turned, and walked onto the stage, with the row of ceremonial girls holding the banners following right behind her.

She picked up the microphone and said, “Thank you all for coming, and a special thanks to the Mayor, all the directors, and the presidents of the associations for your support. Right now, when everything feels so exciting, I’ve got two things to share with you all.”

“First, I’m excited to announce that after years of dedicated research, a specialized remedy I’ve painstakingly developed for all kinds of difficult and rare diseases has passed the review of the Food and Drug Administration. It’s called the Miracle Cure, and it officially launches today!”

As soon as she finished speaking, the whole place erupted in applause, and reporters’ cameras went wild.

Just then, a blond foreign man in his fifties, dressed in a doctor’s white coat, walked onto the stage, followed by a ceremonial hostess carrying a golden angel trophy.

Daisy Reese stared in disbelief when she saw who it was. “Professor Grant!”

This was none other than the president of the International Medical Informatics Association, a leading authority in global medicine who had won the Nobel Prize and numerous other prestigious medical awards. He was Daisy’s idol!

“Nameless Healer, I’ve finally found you! The review results for the special remedy you submitted to the foundation are out. Congratulations, you’ve won this year’s Lasker Award!” Professor Grant announced, his voice brimming with excitement.

He spoke in flawless Thalvarin.

The applause from the audience grew even more thunderous. After all, the Lasker Award is known as the ‘Nobel Prize bellwether’ in the medical world, since its winners often go on to receive the Nobel Prize the following year!

Daisy Reese was still a little confused. She hadn’t even sent her miracle cure to the foundation for review. But the moment she heard “Lasker Award,” her mind went blank for a second, then pure excitement took over.

She’d really won the Lasker Award?!

This was basically the biggest deal in medicine, second only to the Nobel!

Not a single person in the Reese family had ever come close to something this huge!

She’d actually made history!

Daisy Reese looked out at the crowd, her heart swelling with pride. She’d never felt so proud in her life. This was her absolute peak, her finest hour.

And it wasn’t just her, everyone from the Reese family, the Mayor, the heads of the medical associations, and all the

reporters were on cloud nine.

The Lasker Award is only handed out once a yea

and each year, fewer than three people ever get it!

With so many outstanding medical professionals in the world, only those who stand at the very pinnacle of the field can

receive this highest honor in medicine.

This honor belonged not only to the recipient, but also to their family, their city, their nation, and the entire medical

community.

The atmosphere in the hall was electric, and many guests were moved to tears.

This was truly the pride and glory of Zirenth!

“Grant, you still haven’t fixed that face blindness of yours?” Hannah Carter called out, her tone teasing.

Right at the height of the excitement, an icy, clear voice suddenly echoed through the speakers.

Professor Grant was just about to hand the trophy to Daisy Reese when he froze, his hand stopping halfway.

The crowd, buzzing just moments before, went dead silent. Everyone craned their necks, searching for the source, and saw a girl rise to her feet by the buffet.

She was a showstopper, porcelain skin, an icy beauty that turned heads, gliding toward the stage in her white silk dress, every move radiating both grace and a hint of seductive allure.
