Chapter 215 Daisy Reese Got Off Easy

Chapter 215 Daisy Reese Got Off Easy

“Ah!” Daisy screamed in terror.

She couldn’t believe it, this skinny, out-of-her-mind woman in front of her was actually Agnes.

The last time she saw Agnes, Daisy had already sensed something was wrong, but she never thought things would get this

bad.

She refused to believe her miracle drug was to blame. Back when she first gave Agnes the medicine, Agnes had clearly said it was working.

Besides, her miracle drug was made following the Nameless Healer’s prescription, using only nourishing herbs. There was no way the problem was with the medicine. It had to be something wrong with Agnes’s own body.

“Maybe you’ve got the wrong person?” Daisy said, feigning ignorance, her heart pounding as she tried to keep her cool.

Even though Daisy was sure Agnes’s condition had nothing to do with her, there was no way she could admit she knew Agnes. If she did, the guests would definitely start gossiping and jump to all sorts of crazy conclusions.

“Miss Daisy, it’s me, Agnes! Please, I’m begging you, give me the medicine. I need the miracle drug!” Agnes cried out, her voice trembling with desperation.

With a loud thud, Agnes dropped to her knees in front of Daisy, banging her head against the floor in a frenzy.

Daisy stumbled back two steps, her face pale with panic. “I don’t know you. You’ve got the wrong person.”

As she spoke, Daisy shot Julie a desperate look, silently urging her to go get security.

“Mom!” Just then, a woman suddenly rushed up from the audience, heading straight for the stage to stop Agnes from banging her head on the floor.

“Mom, stop it!” she cried out, her voice shaking.

Her eyes brimming with tears, she stared at Daisy. “Miss Daisy, how could you be so heartless?

“My mom has worked for the Reese family for over ten years, and now you just pretend you don’t even know her? Why did you have to use her as a guinea pig?

“Ever since my mom took your so-called miracle drug, she’s been acting completely crazy. First she got all excited, then became lethargic, got addicted, and now she’s gone insane, lost her mind completely. What the hell did you give her?”

The guests in the audience gasped, stunned. ‘Is this really the fallout from Daisy’s miracle drug?’

“Are you freaking kidding me? This isn’t just drugs?” someone shouted.

“Anything this addictive has to be drugs!” another person yelled.

“Daisy, you really gave us drugs?!” someone else shouted angrily.

“What the hell did you give me? If you don’t come clean right now, you’re not leaving this place!” another guest yelled.

Daisy’s face went from pale to flushed to ashen as the guests’ angry shouts echoed through the hall. When she glanced over at Hannah, who was just watching the show with a cold, amused look, Daisy clenched her jaw tight.

‘This has to be Hannah’s trick!’ Daisy fumed inwardly.

‘She’s already exposed me in front of everyone. I can’t let her get away with this again!’ Daisy swore to herself.

Trying to keep her anger and panic in check, Daisy spoke up.

“First off, my medicine is just a mix of nourishing herbs, stuff that’s supposed to be good for you. There’s no way it could mess someone up like this.

“And besides, I seriously don’t know these two at all, and I’ve never treated them. Why are they trying to pin this on me?” Agnes’s daughter shot Daisy a look of utter disbelief, her eyes wide as if she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

Right then, it hit her, this was who Daisy Reese really was.

Julie showed up with the security guys in tow, and before Agnes’s daughter could even get a word out, the guards hauled her out of the hall.

The guests looked on, still unsure what to beli

Seeing the crowd start to hesitate, Daisy jumped at the chato unange the subject and get past this mess.

She gripped the microphone tightly and said,

“Everyone, please relax. The miracle drug has been officially approved by the government drug agency. It’s totally legit and absolutely safe, so you don’t need to worry. And now, let me move on to the second announcement….

“Trying to change the subject before the problem’s even solved? Ms. Reese, what exactly are you so guilty about?” Hannah let out a mocking laugh and took a few steps to the side.

Daisy clenched her fists, fuming inside, ‘What does she really want from me?’

“The drug! I need the drug!” one person screamed, their voice raw with desperation.

“Ms. Reese, give me the drug!” another shouted, reaching out as if they could grab her from the crowd.

“The miracle drug! Hand it over, now!” someone else yelled, their eyes wild and pleading.

Suddenly, a horde of frantic, half-crazed people stormed into the banquet hall, surging toward Daisy on the stage like a tidal

wave.

Daisy Reese’s face turned deathly pale as she backed away in panic, bumping right into the ceremony girls behind her who were holding up the honorary banners.

The ceremony girls, scared out of their wits by the sudden stampede of crazed people, dropped the banners and bolted off the stage.

Julie Harrington and the security guards just stood there, stunned. ‘We only just kicked out two, and now there’s a whole mob charging in?!’ they thought, totally at a loss.

Looking closer, Julie realized these lunatics were the very same patients Daisy had asked her to refer to Ms. Carter’s clinic. ‘How did things get so out of hand in just one week?’ Julie thought, her head spinning.

“Ah!” Daisy screamed, her voice piercing through the chaos.

“The drug! I need the drug! Give me the medicine!” the crazed crowd howled, their voices frantic and wild.

The mob of lunatics closed in on Daisy, clawing at her clothes, desperate to find the miracle drug as if she was hiding it on

her.

The mob of crazed people swarmed the stage, knocking over the miracle drug display. Suddenly, one of them spotted the miracle drug, dove for it, snatched up a bottle, and started laughing like a maniac.

“I got the miracle drug! It’s mine! Hahaha!” he shrieked, his voice cutting through the chaos.

He ripped open the box, twisted off the cap, and poured the whole bottle of pills straight into his mouth without a second thought.

The rest of the lunatics saw this and went berserk, scrambling over each other to grab whatever pills they could.

The whole place turned into a frenzy, like a pack of wild dogs fighting over scraps.

Every guest in the hall was stunned, gaping at the pill-popping frenzy unfolding right before their eyes.

If that first lunatic who got dragged out was just a setup, then what the hell was going on with this whole mob scrambling for pills?

The guests who’d taken Daisy’s miracle drug clenched their fists so tight their knuckles turned white.

“You worthless Nameless Healer! How do you even have the nerve to show your face at this event?” someone shouted, their voice trembling with rage.

Trailing at the end of the mob, Christopher swaggered in like he owned the place, followed by two red-haired punks in face masks, both lugging a big metal basin between them.

No one could tell what was inside, but even with the lid on, the weird stench leaking out made everyone wrinkle their noses in disgust.

Christopher shouted, “You almost left my old man paralyzed! And look at these people. They’re all your patients, and just look at the mess you’ve made of them!”

“Good thing my dad was smart enough not to touch your dogshit miracle cure. But you still nearly crippled him, and you even tried to push me into causing trouble for Hannah Carter. Well, I’m here to settle this score with you, right now.” As Christopher finished speaking, he waved his hand, and his two buddies carried the metal basin up to the front.

Daisy had just been pulled out of the mob by Julie, her cape gone, hair a tangled mess, looking completely disheveled and

miserable.

She barely had time to react before a huge pile of dog crap was flung right at her.

Julie and the guests instantly pinched their noses and hurried away from the stage with looks of pure disgust.

Daisy was blindsided, left completely shell-shocked as the mess hit her square in the face.

She, once the untouchable queen bee of the Reese family, the number one socialite, had just gotten dog crap dumped on her in front of the whole crowd!

But this was only the beginning.

Resting a hand on her stomach and thinking about the miracle cure she’d already started taking, Iris Thole grabbed a wine glass without a second thought and hurled the wine straight into Daisy’s face.

With Iris setting the example, the other guests who’d taken the miracle cure all started pelting Daisy with whatever they could grab from the tables.

Just moments ago, Daisy had been dazzling, the center of everyone’s attention. Now, she was the picture of disgrace, battered, humiliated, and utterly miserable in front of the whole crowd.

“So, how’d I do? Wasn’t I totally badass just now?” Christopher asked Hannah, grinning from ear to ear.

Hannah replied, “Nope.”

Christopher frowned. “Come on, I just helped you get some payback. Would it kill you to say I was awesome?”

“You called me names,” Hannah said, her voice cool and indifferent.

Christopher frowned, “Since when did I talk smack about you?”

Hannah was speechless.

Christopher blinked, totally confused. ‘Wait, what?’

‘All I did was tell the guys to grab a pile of dog crap. How did things get so wild while I was gone?’ he wondered, completely baffled.

“Christopher, she’s the real Nameless Healer. Daisy Reese just stole her title!” someone nearby called out.

Christopher’s eyes went wide in shock.

‘Damn it! Daisy Reese got off way too easy with just a pile of dog crap!’ Christopher cursed inwardly.
