Chapter 267 Troublesome Schemer

Chapter 267 Troublesome Schemer

‘How could they possibly know about the Thole family?’ Evelynhought to herself.

‘The only one who could’ve tipped them off and knows about the Thole family is Susie, Evelyn realized.

Just yesterday, Susie had come over trying to convince Evelyn to leave, but Evelyn turned her down. Susie just shot back, You’ll regret this,” before walking out.

And sure enough, today Bertha and Razor showed up.

Evelyn’s chest rose and fell sharply, she just couldn’t believe Suse would really go this far.

Seeing Evelyn stay silent, Bertha thought she had her on the ropes and got even nastier. She put her hands on her hips and snapped, “See, I was right! You old witch, get out of my granddaughter’s clinic, now!”

“Who let this stray dog in here to yap?” A cold, clear voice interrupted her tirade.

Hannah made her way through the crowd and came to Evelyn’s side, linking arms with her. She asked with concern, “Are you alright?”

Evelyn looked at her, a relieved smile spreading across her face, and shook her head. “I’m fine.”

Bertha didn’t recognize Hannah and barked, “Who are you? Stop meddling in other people’s business!”

But Razor recognized Hannah right away and tugged at Bertha’s sleeve. “Mom, that’s Hannah, the Nameless Healer.”

“Oh, you’re my granddaughter!” Bertha’s tone changed instantly. I’m your real grandmother!”

Hannah gave them a cold, indifferent look. “I don’t know you. If you know what’s good for you, get lost. Otherwise, don’t blame me for throwing you out.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Joe came out, baseball bat slung over his shoulder.

“Who’s crazy enough to cause trouble here? You think you can just ignore me?” someone shouted.

Just then, a red Ferrari pulled up at the entrance, and Christopher, with his burgundy hair, stepped out.

He was followed by a crew of guys in black, each rocking some wild, neon-colored hair. They lined up at the clinic entrance, their outlandish punk style might’ve looked a little over the top, but they still had that unmistakable street-tough energy.

“What are you doing here?” Hannah shot Christopher a surprised look.

Christopher put on his most macho face. “When my girlfriend’s h trouble, how could I not show up?”

Hannah frowned, her tone full of disdain. “Who’s supposed to be your girlfriend?”

“You, obviously!” Christopher jumped in before she could finish shameless as ever. “Future girlfriend, anyway! Sooner or later, you will be. But forget that for now, how do you want us to kick them out?”

He rolled up his sleeves, clearly itching for a fight.

Hannah just shrugged, her voice cool. “Doesn’t matter. Just make them leave.”

Bertha and Razor swallowed nervously, surprised that Hannah was showing them zero mercy.

But then Bertha remembered, the one who called them over was from the Thole family, the top one among the four great families. No matter how cocky these punks acted, they were nothing when the Tholes were involved.

So she straightened up and snapped, “You ungrateful brat! I’m your real grandmother, and you’re actually kicking me out? Don’t you have any shame?”

Razor jumped in, “If she had any decency, she wouldn’t have reunited with the Scott family for almost a year and still never come to see her real grandma and uncle. Guess she wasn’t raised right, not half as thoughtful as our Susie.”

Hannah raised an eyebrow, her tone sharp. “Oh, so Susie’s the oe pulling the strings here?”

Exposed, Bertha and Razor choked for a moment, Susie had wahed them not to let anyone know she was behind it. “Mom, Razor, what are you doing here?” Felicity pushed her way through the crowd.

As soon as Bertha spotted Felicity, she immediately found someone to take her anger out on. “You damn woman, finally! Look at the worthless brat you raised, she treats her real granda and uncle like this! Why don’t you teach her a lesson?” She kept ranting, instinctively tried to slap Felicity, but before she could, a slender hand caught her wrist.

Hannah twisted hard, and Bertha screamed lik

He grabbed the baseball bat from Joe and pressed it right up against the guy’s head. “Touch her again and I’ll break you, got it?”

Razor flinched, too scared to move.

“Get lost! Don’t make me say it a third time!” Hannah forcefully shoved Bertha away.

Bertha stumbled and landed on her butt, but instead of getting up, she went full drama queen right there on the floor. “Hey, everyone, look at this! This is the Nameless Healer you all hype up, she’s pure evil! Being good to your elders is the bare minimum, and she can’t even do that. Some miracle healer, my ass!” she said.

The reporters and streamers were loving every second of it. Thanks to yesterday’s city-wide search for Raven, Hannah was trending everywhere, and the chat was blowing up with gawkers piling into the livestream for the latest drama.

Felicity was at a loss, exasperated as she rushed over. “Mom, seriously, what are you doing? Get up already.”

“I’m not getting up unless you make her kick Evelyn out of the clinic and start showing me some respect!” Bertha kept ranting, piling on more demands.

“And while you’re at it, have her set your brother up with a job. Doesn’t have to be anything special, just pay him at least 10, 000 dollars a month, let him come and go as he pleases, and make sure it’s a management gig.”

Christopher swung the baseball bat toward Bertha, his voice full of menace. “Who the hell gave you the guts to act like this.”

Hannah grabbed his arm and let out a mocking laugh. *10,000 dollars a month? Isn’t that a bit stingy? Why not make it 30000 dollars a year, with a luxury car and a mansion thrown in?

Bertha’s eyes lit up at the mention of 30000 dollars a year.

Her son was a total deadbeat back in the sticks, addicted to gambling. He wasted all the bride money from the Scott family ages ago, blew through the house, and now the three of them were squeezed into a crumbling shack.

If they could score 30000 dollars a year, the whole family would be living large in Kinswood in no time.

She nodded like crazy. ‘Yes, yes! 30000 dollars a year is perfect Luxury car, mansion, and get him a fancy wife, and make sure I get to move to Kinswood too!”

Razor was practically bouncing with excitement, 30000 dollars a year was way beyond anything he’d ever dared to dream. If it really happened, he’d be flexing on his old crew for the rest of his life.

He smirked cockily. “You’re the Nameless Healer, right? This kind of thing is a piece of cake for you. No rush, just set me up

tomorrow.”

Hannah snorted. “Why wait for tomorrow? Just flop down right now, close your eyes, and you’ll be living the dream.” “You! You fucking played me!” Razor snapped, rolling up his sleeves, but Joe tackled him to the floor before he could even

move.

“Handle it. Kick them out,” Hannah said icily, linking arms with Evelyn and heading back into the clinic.

Seeing this, Bertha sprawled out on the floor, making a huge scene.

“Oh heavens! Is there no law or order left in this world? No respect for elders? This is the Nameless Healer you all worship. she’d rather stand up for that phony grandma and treat her own real grandma and uncle like dirt!”

“Anna, are you sure this is okay?” Evelyn hesitated, glancing at Felicity, who looked completely lost. She felt a pang of guilt. She’s still your mom’s mother. If this keeps up, it’ll reflect badly on the Scott family.”

Hannah was already stressed out over Barnaby, and running into people like this just made her even more irritated. “The more you pay attention to someone like her, the worse she’ll get Just let her be.”

“Bertha, you really have the nerve to throw a fit like this?” Aurelia Scott finally came rushing in, with Arthur helping her along.
