The Real Heiress Is Coming Back (Hannah Carter) novel Chapter 301

Chapter 301 De Whatever You Want

Chapter 301 Do Whatever You Want

Joe noticed the waiter’s look of disdain, but he was too busy searching for someone to care. “Got any bottled water? Give

me one’

He had to drive later, so drinking was out of the question.

The waiter smirked, thinking to himself, ‘Who comes to a bar for water? Either this guy’s out of his depth or just filthy rich!

He wrote up the bill. “Alright, that’ll be one hundred. Unipay or WhatsApp Pay?”

“That’s insane!’ Joe said, shaking his head. Growing up in a mountain village, he’d always been tight with money. Even now, living in Kinswood with Hannah and making in a month what used to take him a year, he still couldn’t bring himself to splurge.

‘One hundred for a bottle of water? What is this, liquid gold?’ Jo thought, dumbfounded.

“This is Nocturne Grand!” the waiter reminded him.

The message was clear: if you wanted in, you had to spend.

Joe bit his lip, pulled out his phone, scanned the code to pay, then asked, “Did you see a girl in a white dress and a guy in a blue suit come in just now?”

The waiter had seen them. It was the Reese family’s oldest son, the kind who never blinked at spending big. He missed out because another colleague got to them first.

Since the bottled water came with a hefty commission, the waiter decided to be nice. “They’re upstairs, but that’s the members-only floor. Membership means dropping ten grand a day for three months straight. One bottle of water won’t cut

it.”

Joe frowned. ‘This isn’t a bar, it’s a den of extravagance!’

He couldn’t understand how the rich could be so obsessed with luxury, but just thinking about Chloe coming to a place like this with Darren Reese made him furious. ‘She’s really squandering money!’

Seeing he couldn’t get to the second floor, Joe didn’t even bother to pay. “I just need to go up and find someone. I’m not here to party or hang around. Once I find them, I’m out.”

“No way!” The waiter’s face soured as his commission slipped through his fingers. He waved over security. “Throw this cheapskate out!”

“Hey, what’s all this fuss about?” Just then, the door swung open and a cocky voice rang out from behind.

The waiter instantly switched from sneering to bootlicking mode, practically bending over backwards. “Christopher, welcome!”

Joe turned to see Christopher swaggering in with a wild chick hanging off his arm, followed by his posse of wild-haired misfits.

Christopher looked genuinely surprised to see Joe. “Well, well, thought you never came to places like this?”

Every time they’d finish a game and Christopher tried to get him but for drinks, Joe always said no, never once gave in. “I brought Hannah here,” Joe replied.

At the mention of Hannah, Christopher’s eyes lit up and he immediately scanned the room. “Where is she?”

Joe didn’t actually know which floor Hannah was on, but since he was heading to the second floor to look for Chloe, he just answered, “Second floor.”

Christopher immediately shoved the wild chick off his arm, slung his arm around Joe’s shoulders like they were best buds, and started leading him inside. “Come on, he’s with me.”

The wild chick just stood there, totally confused.

With Christopher leading the way, the waiter didn’t dare stop them. The whole crew swaggered up to the second floor.

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, Christopher asked, Which VIP room?”

“I don’t know. She didn’t say. By the time I parked, she was already inside,” Joe lied, looking a little uneasy.

Christopher just assumed Joe didn’t want to tell him. “Alright, let’s just check every room!”

With that, he waved over a waiter. “Send a bottle of booze to every private room on the second floor.”

Joe glanced at the menu with its outrageous prices, his brow twitching. “Isn’t that a bit much?”

‘Is being rich really a license to do whatever you want?’ Joe thought, a little stunned.

Christopher just shrugged. “I’ve got money to burn! If it means finding Hannah, I’d buy drinks for everyone in Nocturne Grand!”

Joe’s brow twitched even harder. ‘Is this really how rich people blow their cash?

Joe didn’t even get a chance to stop them. Before he knew it, a whole line of waiters were marching off, each carrying a bottle of XO, ready to deliver one to every VIP room.

Joe followed the waiters as they made their rounds, and soon spotted the VIP room where Chloe was

Inside the VIP room, there were about a dozen people, five or six men in suits, and the rest were all provocatively dressed hostesses. Chloe and the hostesses were seated between two of the men, which made Joe’s expression sour instantly.

Chloe saw Joe too, surprised he’d managed to find her here. No wanting him to cause a scene, she quickly got up, said she needed to use the restroom, and made her way out.

As soon as she stepped outside, she grabbed Joe and pulled him into the stairwell.

“Why are you still hanging out with Darren? Didn’t you promise me you’d stay away from him?” Joe snapped, his anger boiling over. Seeing her dress, showing off way too much cleavage and leg, just made him even more furious.

“Seriously, look at what you’re wearing! And you come to a place like this? Has he really messed you up that bad?” Joe shot back.

Getting chewed out the second they met, Chloe’s face fell. “Do you even care how I’ve been lately? You never ask.”

Joe snapped, “Who told you to run off and disappear? You didnt even answer your phone!”

Chloe was stunned for a second, thinking, ‘Why is my brother only ever this thick-headed with me?’ She shot back, “You only ever blame me! If Hannah and her friends hadn’t spread rumors about me, you think I would’ve just left?”

“Are you done yet? Hannah was just trying to figure out what really happened, but you wouldn’t even talk to her or help out…” Joe snapped.

“Enough!” Chloe cut him off. “Why bother talking? In your eyes, I’m always wrong and Hannah’s always right! I’m your actual sister, but you always side with her!

“Fine, if you like her so much, go be her brother! Just stay out of my life and don’t ever come looking for me again! Since Hannah’s clinic doesn’t want me around anymore, I’ll find my own way.”

With that, she turned to leave, but Joe caught her by the arm. “What are you even talking about? You’re really going back to Darren Reese? No way. You’re coming with me to set things straight with Hannah.”

Just hearing she had to apologize to Hannah made Chloe’s anger flare up even more. ‘All I want is a better future for myself. How is that wrong?’ she thought, feeling both furious and hurt.

During their tussle, Joe held back, afraid of hurting her. But Chloe shoved him hard, and Joe went crashing down the stairs, his head cracking against the banister.

Chloe stood frozen on the steps, staring at Joe lying motionless below. Her heart was racing, breath coming in gasps. “Joe?” she called out, panic rising.

Chloe hesitated, ready to run down, but then voices echoed from the hallway. She swallowed, whispered “Sorry,” and bolted.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of Nocturne Grand.

Hannah was practically dragged out of the club by Barnaby, his grip on her wrist so tight it was obvious he was still fuming.

‘He’s seriously jealous!’ Hannah thought, a little exasperated.

‘What am I supposed to do now?’ Hannah thought, feeling a bit helpless.

She tried to calm him down. “Barnaby, please don’t be mad. Can you just hear me out for a second?”

Barnaby didn’t say a word, his face cold as he dragged her toward the parking lot.

When reasoning didn’t work, Hannah tried a softer approach. “Don’t walk so fast, Barnaby! My knee hurts, I can’t keep up with you.”

Barnaby stopped short, and Hannah, not expecting it, bumped right into his back.

He spun around and, without warning, picked her up in his arms

The sight of the gorgeous couple instantly turned heads all around.

Hannah felt super awkward and squirmed in his arms. “Barnaby put me down!”

Barnaby couldn’t care less about the people staring. He marche straight to the car, yanked open the back door, and practically shoved her inside.

As soon as she got in, Hannah noticed a weird, sweet smell in the car. She didn’t even get a chance to ask before Barnaby was all over her…
