Chloe had been with Evelyn for so long that she knew exactly how Evelyn prescribed medicine. Without those four herbs, the medicinal meals at Ms. Carter’s clinic would be impossible to make.

She’d thought about teaming up with Joel to get the southern market, but he was always super close to Hannah. “He was ready to sign for three times the market price, but then he saw the Nameless Healer’s post offering six times the market rate, twice our offer. Now he won’t sell to us,” Steve replied.

Chloe’s brows knitted together. If Joel handed the herbs over to Hannah, all the stock she’d gathered would be for nothing, and her whole plan would go up in smoke.

“Twelve times? The total for all four herbs in his hands is probably over thirty million dollars. Do you really have that kind of cash lying around?” Steve asked, clearly surprised.

The Reese family gave her all the privileges of being their heiress, but no actual cash, just a card with a monthly limit of thirty thousand dollars.

“Just pay him a deposit and get the contract signed. I’ll settle the rest within a month,” Chloe said.

“Go ahead and sell, just save me a bit. And after you’re done, make sure everyone hears what price you got,” Hannah said coolly.

Joel: “Got it! My goddess, as soon as I finish selling, I’ll personally bring over the herbs you want.”

Hannah replied, “Just ship them, that’s fine.”

“Seriously, don’t be so formal! Let me bring them over myself. It shows I mean it. Plus, it’s been forever since I saw you, and I kinda…miss you.” Joel was about to say.

But before he could finish, Hannah hung up on him.

Chloe was up at the crack of dawn, heading straight to her medicinal restaurant to get everything ready. She could barely contain her excitement, confident that Hannah would have no choice but to come looking for those herbs.

Chloe was certain Hannah would show up today. After securing the southern market last night, Hannah was out of options. She’d have to come to Chloe for help.
