Chapter 320 Calling Me Inhuman?
“No,” Hannah said with icy indifference, shaking off his hand. She turned to Percival and Mrs. Lynch. “Percival, I’ll leave the rest to you. Mrs. Lynch, if you have any questions, just ask Percival”
Percival nodded, “Sure.”
Mrs. Lynch said, “Alright, thank you, thank you so much.”
After giving her instructions, Hannah turned and left with Peyton
‘Don’t go…” Eric tried to get out of bed to chase after her, but after being in a coma for so long, his muscles just wouldn’t cooperate. He nearly tumbled right off the bed.
Mrs. Lynch was quick to catch him. “Eric, that was the Nameless Healer who saved you. She already has a boyfriend. Once you’re back on your feet, you’ll have plenty of chances to meet other girls…”
“Who are you?” Eric stared at Mrs. Todd, but her features seemed fuzzy-he couldn’t tell who she was.
Mrs. Lynch stiffened, her excitement vanished in an instant, like someone had dumped a bucket of cold water over her. “I’m your mom…”
Eric tried to make out her voice and the scent of her perfume. It was different from yesterday-she must’ve changed it, so he didn’t recognize her at first.
“Oh, Mom…” he nodded, trying hard to remember her voice.
Seeing how confused he looked, and how he just couldn’t remember her, Mrs. Lynch’s heart ached.
“Mrs. Lynch, like I said before, the part of his brain that helps him recognize faces got damaged. That’s why he’s got face blindness now, and honestly, there’s no real cure for it,” Percival explained.
“The best we can do is help him through rehab-give him lots of hints about who people are, use other ways to help him get familiar with faces again, and try to make up for what he’s lost,” Percival added.
“I can see her face, clear as day!” Eric clung to Mrs. Lynch’s sleeve, his voice urgent. “Mom, I don’t want anyone else I just want her! She’s the only one whose face I can really see and remember.”
“You can actually remember the Nameless Healer’s face?” Mrs. Lynch blinked in surprise.
“Yeah!” Eric nodded firmly, recalling Hannah’s face as he spoke. Her eyes are beautiful, with thick, long lashes, and there’s a coolness in her eyes…”
“Wait, Percival, what does this mean?” Mrs. Lynch turned to Percival, confusion written all over her face.
Still, for her, this was actually a silver lining. “Would it work better if the Nameless Healer herself guided Eric through his rehab?”
Percival had never seen anything like this before. Eric couldn’t recognize anyone, but somehow, Hannah’s face was the only one he could remember. ‘Guess my idol really is just that amazing.
‘But having Hannah do Eric’s rehab herself?
‘In your dreams!
‘Barnaby would be the first to shut that down, he thought.
“I can’t speak for her, and honestly, the Nameless Healer is always swamped-she probably doesn’t have the time,” Percival said gently.
Mrs. Lynch looked a bit let down, but Eric was still trying to picture Hannah in his mind. “Her skin is so fair… and her nose is delicate and perfectly shaped…”

Hannah: [That’s why I didn’t ask anyone else-only you.]
Piggy: [I kinda feel like you’re saying I’m not even human, but I can’t prove it.]
Hannah put her phone away, said goodbye to Peyton, and had barely stepped out of the hospital when a swarm of reporters descended on her.
“Nameless Healer, any thoughts on bringing Eric Lynch back?”
“Nameless Healer, you performed surgery at Concord Hospital are you thinking about collaborating with them?”
“Will
you be sharing a special method for waking up patients in coma?”
“Word is, you and Percival Nox from the Reese family’s branch life worked together on this surgery. Why did you choose him as your partner?”
Ever since the news about the Nameless Healer waking up a patient who’d been in a coma for twelve years blew up on Twitter for more than two days straight, reporters had been dying to get an interview with Hannah. But she ignored all their requests, and whenever they tried to camp out near her clinic, her security team would show up and chase them off. With no luck there, they switched tactics and started camping out at Concord Hospital instead-and finally, they got lucky and managed to catch her.
But before Hannah could even open her mouth, a fleet of black cars with Thole family license plates pulled up in a long line, one after another, right in front of the hospital.
Then, a squad of bodyguards in black uniforms and sunglasses stepped out, quickly moving in to split the reporters into two groups and clear a path.
When the reporters saw the Thole family emblem on the bodyguards’ shoulder patches, they instantly backed off, all turning their cameras toward the last car-a sleek black Rolls-Royce that rolled to a stop.
‘With all this fanfare, it must be Barnaby coming to pick up the Nameless Healer, the reporters thought.
But when the car door swung open, out stepped a slender woman, her hair streaked with white, dressed in a pale blue Zen- style tea robe. She had a gentle face and warm, compassionate eyes, a string of sandalwood prayer beads in her hand, and she walked gracefully and deliberately toward Hannah.
“Wait, it’s not Barnaby?”
“Who is she?”
“With that kind of grandeur and an unfamiliar face among the Tholes, it must be Lady Vera Thole.”
“Yeah, that’s her. Ever since she got into Buddhism, she’s basically gone off the grid. You almost never see her in public anymore.”
“Is all this just to get the Nameless Healer?”
“What else could it be?”
The reporters’ chatter drifted to Hannah. Watching Vera make her way over, a sly spark flickered in Hannah’s eyes. ‘About time she showed up, she thought.
Vera gazed at the icy, distant young woman before her, and it was almost impossible to connect her with the sweet, gentle little girl she used to know.
She never would have guessed that, after twelve years, they’d end up meeting again like this.
“Nameless Healer, would you mind stepping somewhere quiete so we can talk?” Vera asked gently.
Hannah didn’t answer right away. Instead, she turned to the ponytailed reporter standing to her left. “You, come here.”
“Me?” The ponytailed reporter pointed at herself, stunned.
It was her first day covering the news, and she never dreamed the Nameless Healer would single her out-and in front of the whole Thole family, too!
“Weren’t you the one who asked why I picked Percival as my partner?” Hannah said.
“Yes, yes!” The reporter nodded eagerly, totally stunned. ‘Wow, cut of all these reporters, she actually remembered me-and my question!’ she thought.
She hurriedly held out her microphone and motioned for her coworker to start recording.
Hannah looked right into the camera and said, taking her time.
“Percival’s got real skills in both neurology and surgery-he’s the kind of doctor people overlook until he pulls off something big. If the Reese family had more folks like him, they wouldn’t be in such a sorry state right now.”
“So, you mean the Reese family kind of had it coming?” the reporter pushed, not letting up.
“That’s all I wanted to say,” Hannah replied coolly, then turned to Vera. “Let’s go.”
