Seven and Jason rushed out of the next room. They noticed Draven was fine and let out a breath of relief.
“What happened?”
Cassia stepped out of the room. She saw the three of them by the door.
“It’s fine.”
Draven frowned and glanced down at the floor. A strange look flickered through his eyes before his face turned calm again. He looked at Cassia and said, “It’s getting late, kid. You’ve got class tomorrow. I’ll have Seven drive you home.”
“Alright.”
Cassia still wasn’t used to him calling her “kid,” but she nodded.
“Ms. Wood, let’s go.”
Seven led Cassia out.
After Cassia left the hotel, Jason asked, “Did something feel off? You looked at the floor earlier.”
He followed Draven’s gaze. The carpet was full of uneven folds.
“Check the hotel’s cameras,” Draven said. “That noise came from someone, not something. And the floor shows someone was standing here for a while.”
When he finished, he looked up at Jason again. “Why were you and Seven in the next room?”
“Uh… well…”
Jason froze and looked away. “Seven and I were worried about your safety, Mr. Grey.”
Draven stayed silent.
He didn’t buy a word of it. He slid his hands into his pockets and walked toward the next room. With one sharp push, the door flew open.
“Wait!”
It was too late. The monitor sat right in plain view.
He walked straight to it. The screen showed the exact room he’d just been in with Cassia.
“Uh
… no, Draven, it’s not what it looks like! I can explain!”
Draven’s face darkened. He pointed at the monitor with two fingers, then glared at Jason. His look said everything–explain or die trying.

Chapter 114 Spies
“I–uh–Draven, you’re so damn good–looking. I was just worried that girl might, you know, try something. I was just looking out for you!”
Draven didn’t say a word.

Jason felt the air drop ten degrees. Draven’s stare was sharp enough to kill. One more word and he’d be done.
“I’m sorry! I’ll throw out the monitor right now!”
Jason stammered as he rushed to Draven’s side, his hands trembling as he reached for the device.
“No.” Draven’s voice sliced through the air.
“Huh?”
“Give me the footage.”
“What? Oh… oh, okay…”
“Keep the footage. There are a thousand company files still pending approval. You’ll handle them tonight.”
No answer.
“You’re not leaving until it’s done.”
No answer again.
“Mr. Grey, you’re really something, huh?”
After dropping Cassia off at the Woods‘ house, Seven went straight to Draven’s villa. He walked into his bedroom and found him sitting in front of the smart TV, completely focused.
Curious, he stepped closer. The moment he saw what was on the screen, his heart almost stopped.
Draven was watching the same security footage that he and Jason had been caught recording.
Did Mr. Grey find out? What happened to Jason? Was he punished already? This is bad. Very bad.
Seven’s hands trembled slightly.
Draven leaned his elbow on the chair’s arm and rested his chin on his hand. His half–lidded eyes stayed fixed on the screen. He looked fascinated, completely ignoring the anxious man standing beside him.
Seven pressed his lips together, trying to calm his racing heart. Maybe Mr. Grey doesn’t realize I was involved
too.
He let out a quiet breath and tried to act nonchalant, his tone turning lazy again, though he forced a faint hint of complaint.
