Chapter 120 Meeting at the Lennox
Well, maybe being the third wheel was just his fate today. They probably didn’t even notice him.
“Cassia! You finally made it! I’ve missed you so much!”
Nicole rushed out as soon as a waiter told her Cassia had arrived.
She immediately spotted Draven and Seven behind her.

Though she was the CEO of Cosmo Group, Nicole had no idea who Draven truly was. She only knew those two men seemed to appear around Cassia far too often.
Draven, however, recognized her right away. He knew Nicole ran Cosmo Group–the same woman now greeting Cassia with such warmth.
But his gaze never left Cassia.
When Cassia turned to Nicole and asked her to have the chefs start preparing the dishes, Draven’s eyebrows lifted slightly, his expression calm but faintly irritated.
Seven noticed it instantly. He knew that look all too well. “Ms. Wood,” Seven said with a teasing smile, “my boss would prefer to eat something you cooked yourself.”
Cassia went still.
Draven watched her, quiet and expectant.
Cassia looked back at him, her eyes steady.
For a long second, neither of them spoke a word.
Cassia held his stare for a few moments before sighing softly.
“Alright, fine.”
He had stepped in to help her before, and this was the least she could do. Cooking for him felt like the most honest way to show her gratitude.
It was her way of saying thank you.
A faint curve lifted the corner of Draven’s mouth, and a flicker of quiet satisfaction lit his eyes.
Nicole folded her arms, amusement glinting in her expression as she watched them.
She had heard all about The Lennox’s signature dish–its famous “free–range chicken soup.” Now that this man was here, he would finally understand why it had become a sensation across the city.
“I’ll make you the soup,” Cassia said calmly. “But it takes at least two hours to cook. I’ll have Ms. Lane bring out some appetizers in the meantime. The chefs here are excellent.”

Chapter 120 Meeting at the Lennox
Her eyes were on Draven.
Draven thought, So she’s friends with Nicole, and she knows how to make the Lennox’s signature soup?
Draven gave a small nod. “Sure.”

Nicole couldn’t stop the grin that tugged at her lips when she caught the hint of surprise on his face.
The Lennox owed much of its success not just to its luxury or management, but to Cassia’s cooking. Especially her chicken soup–it was divine.
Nicole had tasted it once and never forgotten it. The flavor had stayed with her long after.
That one dish had launched The Lennox to the top of Zrario’s dining scene in less than a month, turning it into one of the city’s elite hotels.
But there was only one Lennox across Zrario, and that exclusivity made it all the more coveted.
People came from every corner of the country, even lining up before sunrise just to taste that soup. But Cassia rarely cooked for the public now. She only did it when she felt like it.
She had shared her recipe with the hotel’s top chefs, and while their versions still drew praise and crowds, something about them always fell short. Nicole had tried their soup too–it was good, but it lacked that personal touch, that depth Cassia alone could create.
Cassia stepping into the kitchen today was rare. For Draven and Seven, getting to eat something she made herself was pure luck.
Still, Nicole couldn’t help noticing how often Cassia had been around those two lately.
Were they trying to win her over?
Her eyes lingered on Cassia.
Flawless skin. A slender neck. A soft, striking smile. Those eyes–bright and magnetic. Cassia wasn’t just beautiful. She was breathtaking.
What man wouldn’t be drawn to her?
And she wasn’t the fragile kind, either. She was strong, poised, and independent–the kind of woman Nicole respected deeply.
She’s just brilliant!
As she studied her, Nicole’s gaze fell to the delicate anklet of beads wrapped around Cassia’s ankle. “Wait–Cassia,” she said, sounding surprised. “Since when do you wear jewelry like that?”
It was true. Cassia had never been one for trinkets. Unlike other girls her age, she never bothered with
bracelets or accessories.
