“Honey, just stop talking. Let Peter calm down first, then you can explain,” Fiona finally spoke after staying. quiet the whole time.

She’d noticed how dark Peter’s expression had gotten. Saying anything now would just set him off more. It was smarter to wait until everyone relaxed before talking.

Gary practically choked on his own frustration.

Peter rubbed his chest, then looked toward Cassia and Sterling.
