Seeing that Cassia still wasn’t getting up, Victoria grew angrier and more anxious. She marched over, trying to yank Cassia off the bed.

“Say that again and mean it. I dare you,” Cassia said, eyes cold, voice full of mockery.

Danica fell silent.

Brie, ever thick–skinned, tried again. “Cassia, you misunderstand Grandma, Danica, and me way too much. We need to talk this through.”

Cassia replied, flat and sarcastic, “Brie, with acting like that, you could have a real future in showbiz.”

Brie was left speechless by her reply.

But even after being shut down, she kept up the pitiful act.

“Cassia, I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

Cassia tucked a stray hair behind her ear and said, icy as ever, “Then let me make it simple.

“Get out. You’re an eyesore.”

Brie’s face turned red, then pale, furious at Cassia’s wildness.
