Suddenly, Kaleb thought of something and turned to look at Brie.

Earlier that evening, when Brie made the reservation and gave her name, they were told there were no tables available.
Could it be Brie…
After being shut out, Kaleb and Brie left The Lennox. The moment they stepped outside, Kaleb spoke up, “Brie, think again. Did you offend someone recently?”
“I really didn’t.” Brie was so upset she was on the verge of tears.
Her eyes reddened, and a small resentment began to brew in her heart.
She used to think Kaleb’s family was a step above her own, and as one of the top families in Zrario, marrying him would guarantee she’d never be mistreated.
But after what happened today, she was starting to change her mind.
Kaleb had been rejected at both Atelier Zrario and The Lennox, which proved he wasn’t all that impressive after all. If she really ended up with him, she’d still have to put up with being pushed around.
Brie considered herself exceptional. She was accomplished in music, chess, literature, and art, and was known throughout Zrario as a talented young lady. She didn’t have to put all her eggs in one basket with Kaleb.
The results from the school’s Olympiad math competition had already come out, and she had placed in the top 50. Her family had even thrown a banquet to celebrate.
In a few days, she would be representing Zrario at the National Olympiad math competition in Vrastin. If she placed in the top ten, guaranteed admission to Vego University would be as good as hers.
And if she could land herself a rich heir while she was there…
“Cassia?” Kaleb’s startled voice cut through Brie’s thoughts.
Brie looked up and followed Kaleb’s shocked gaze toward The Lennox.
She saw Cassia and Sacha pushing open the door and walking out, along with Rosalie.

Chapter 183 Two–Faced
It really was Cassia!
:
She was with Sacha, so that meant the girl who went upstairs earlier was Cassia?
But why was Rosalie here too? She was pretty sure she hadn’t seen Rosalie earlier.

Brie knew who Rosalie was, so after her brief moment of shock, she assumed Cassia must have sucked up to Rosalie, and that Rosalie had brought Cassia here and gotten them a private room on the second floor.
As for Sacha, she was close to Cassia, so she probably kissed up to Rosalie too. That must be how they both ended up in a second–floor private room.
In reality, the reason Cassia came to The Lennox after evening study hall was to treat Rosalie to a late–night meal as thanks for the hairpin she had given her.
She just happened to run into Sacha standing frozen at the entrance and invited her along on a whim.
“Cassia, what are you doing here? It’s so late and you’re at a place like this instead of going home. Dad’s going to be upset if he finds out.” Brie had no idea that Cassia owned the hotel, let alone that Cassia was the one treating Rosalie and Sacha. She spoke in her usual self–righteous yet delicate manner.
Kaleb glanced at Brie, his eyes darkening, but said nothing.
Rosalie found this amusing. “Brie, I really didn’t expect you to be this kind of person. If your father doesn’t want you coming to places like this so late, then what are you doing here?”
When Cassia had mentioned during evening study hall that she wanted to treat her to a late meal at The Lennox, Rosalie had been completely stunned.
It was already almost 9:30 p.m. by then. Making a reservation at that hour would have been impossible, and even if she managed to get one, they’d have to wait until the middle of the night to eat.
But Cassia simply told her she had some things to take care of and would be a bit late, so Rosalie should head over first. Once she got to the hotel, all she had to do was give Cassia’s name at the front desk.
After class ended, Rosalie came straight to The Lennox. The moment she said “Cassia” at the front desk, the staff warmly escorted her to a private room on the second floor.
Not only did Cassia secure VIP treatment for herself and Sacha–treatment even Zrario’s wealthiest couldn’t get–but they were also promptly served delicious free–range chicken soup.
