Chapter 295 I’ll Be Good
Seven ruffled his hair in frustration.
This is no joke. If anything goes wrong, Ms. Wood will kill me.
I can’t handle that kind of outcome.

“Mm hmm hmm…” Sterling couldn’t hold back his tears anymore. He wiped his face, trying not to cry as he stood beside Seven.
Seven couldn’t stand it when someone cried in front of him. Even if Sterling was just a kid and crying was normal, he still couldn’t handle it.
“All right, all right, I’ll take you there!”
As soon as Seven said that, Sterling’s tears stopped instantly. He looked up at Seven with hope in his eyes.
“But let’s get this straight. You have to listen to me and behave, or I’m not taking you.” Seven gave Sterling a serious look as he explained.
“Okay, I’ll be good.”
Sterling nodded earnestly.
Once he had Sterling’s promise, Seven opened the door and walked out.
Sterling really did follow along obediently.
As Seven walked, he kept glancing back at Sterling, feeling a strange sense of accomplishment.
Before this, Sterling wouldn’t even look at him.
Now he listened to every word he said…
Heh, guess I’ve got some real charisma!
Of course, most of the credit goes to Ms. Wood. If she hadn’t kept up the therapy, there’s no way this kid would listen to me.
Seven drove Sterling toward the hospital, checking the rearview mirror now and then. Seeing him sitting so quietly in the back seat made Seven feel even more proud.
“Hey kid, when we get there, you can only look from outside the room. You can’t go in and

bother anyone.”
Seven reminded him, clearly worried.
Sterling nodded.
Right now, all he wanted was to see with his own eyes that Cassia was okay.
“Hey kid.
At a red light, Seven stopped the car and turned to Sterling.

“I’m risking my life bringing you out here tonight. Don’t you think you should do something
to thank me?”
Sterling looked at Seven in confusion.
Seven kept going, “You call Cassia by her name. So you should call me by my name too. It’s Seven. Come on, say it.”
Sterling just stared at Seven, saying nothing.
“I’m just asking you to say my name. I’m not asking you to call me daddy. Is it really so difficult?”
The light turned green and they started moving, but Seven kept grumbling, “You don’t get it, bringing you out really is risking my life. First, there’s Ms. Wood to deal with, then Mr. Grey. You’ll get to see Ms. Wood, but I’m the one who’s going to be in trouble. If they find out I brought you there, I’ll be doomed…”
Seven kept complaining like he was heading to an execution, not a hospital.
When they reached the hospital, Seven quietly led Sterling up to the third floor of the VIP wing.
Seven put Sterling behind him and crouched down, moving low like a secret agent on a mission.
“Wait here. I’ll check if Mr. Grey is around…”
Once he saw the coast was clear, Seven waved for Sterling to follow.
Suddenly, Draven appeared right in front of Seven.
“What are you doing?”
“What the…” Seven jumped back several steps in shock.

Draven’s gaze shifted from Seven to Sterling.
His eyes went sharp as he faced Seven. “Why did you bring him?”
Seven got nervous, backing up a few more steps.
“Mr. Grey, I just brought him to take a look-”
