Dunstino Bay.
Draven went to cheer for Cassia at her match. Seven didn’t want to feel like a third wheel and had nowhere else to go, so he stayed in Sterling’s room to keep an eye on him.
Seven had grabbed some crabs from Atelier Zrario. On a whim, he also picked up some chocolates kids usually love from the supermarket.
He placed the crabs and chocolates on the table, turned on the TV, and switched to Zrario Sports Channel.
Cassia was competing in volleyball today. Since Draven said she could play, he figured he could sit with Sterling, eat crabs, and watch the match. That’d be perfect.
With everything ready, Seven knocked on Sterling’s bedroom door.
“Hey, kiddo, I got some crabs from the private chef at Atelier Zrario. I know they’re your favorite. Come out and eat with me while we watch the match.”
Sterling was already in his room, streaming the volleyball game live on his tablet.
The matches had started, but it wasn’t Zrario High’s turn yet.
Cassia had gotten hurt, and he worried if she could play.
He figured she probably couldn’t, but he needed to see it himself, so he stuck to the live stream.
If Cassia wasn’t on the lineup, he wouldn’t watch.
Just as he was thinking that, he heard Seven’s voice.
Sterling immediately forgot all about the stream. Hearing there were crabs, his mouth started watering.
He licked his lips, and a little drool ran down the corner of his mouth.
Quickly, he grabbed a tissue to wipe it off, eyes glued to the door.
“Come out and eat! I didn’t buy a lot. If you don’t come out, I’m finishing it all myself!” Seven kept tempting Sterling from outside.
“Mmm! Smells so good! Too bad I ate aChapter 309 Too Nice
“Go rest for a bit.” Cassia waved as she headed toward the inner lounge.
When she rested and adjusted on her own, it was best not to disturb her.
The others dispersed, grabbing water and taking a break.
Irene had just opened her thermos when a handsome man in a tailored suit walked in.
“Where’s your captain?” Draven asked, scanning the room but not seeing Cassia.
“She’s inside,” Irene said, pointing toward the lounge Cassia had gone into.
He looked unfamiliar, but he was carrying a bag with a bright red color inside. It looked like lychees
Another visitor for Cassia. She guessed Cassia probably called him.
“Thanks,” Draven said politely with a nod, then headed toward the inner lounge.
At the door, he knocked gently.
“Who is it?” Cassia’s voice came from inside.
“It’s me.”
The door opened, and Draven stepped in.
Outside, everyone stared in surprise as they watched Cassia open the door and let the man walk in naturally.
“Cassia actually let him in?”
“She never lets anyone bother her when she’s resting!”
“The last time I tried talking to her during a break, she booted me out…”
Clearly, that man had a special connection with her.
The inner lounge was furnished almost like a bedroom, with a bed, a desk, and even a private bathroom.
Cassia sat on a soft leather couch.
“I brought some lychees,” Draven said, lifting the bag a little.
He set it on the table next to her. “Want some?”
She’d just finished a tough match. He’d come especially to check on her and offer a little treat.
Draven took out a plate and went to rinse it in the bathroom.
Cassia tilted her head and looked at the lychees on the table.
They didn’t look like the ones sold at markets. They looked super fresh, like they’d just been picked.

When Draven returned, he sat beside her and slowly peeled a lychee.
Cassia had nothing to do, so she watched him peel.
He placed the peeled fruit on the plate and picked up another.
Noticing her gaze, he looked up. “What’s wrong?”
With her looking at him like that, he almost forgot how to peel.
Cassia leaned slightly, her beautiful eyes drifting toward him. There was a faint, natural allure in her gaze.
It wasn’t intentional. Her eyes simply carried an effortless charm.
Draven froze, the lychee still pinched between his fingers.
Now he truly didn’t know how to continue.

“You went all this way just to bring me fruit…” Cassia’s voice, sweet and clear like a little songbird, filled the space. “I’m starting to think you’re being way too nice to me.”
Draven felt his heart sway.
Around him, Cassia didn’t need to be sharp or distant.
Once she dropped that cool, guarded exterior, her gentle look and harmless tone were impossible to ignore.
“Because if I’m stuck with blind dates, you’re the only one who can help,” Draven said, peeling on.
Cassia watched his hands. His technique wasn’t fancy, but the shell split perfectly, almost like it had been measured.
He must have a serious OCD.
“You’re not that young anymore, right?” Cassia thought about Victoria trying to set her up with Quincy this morning.
Thinking back, she felt nothing.
“I’m 24. Six years older than you.” A flicker of light passed through his deep, composed eyes.
Cassia grabbed a lychee from the plate and popped it in her mouth.
The pit was tiny. The flesh was juicy, sweet, and rich, melting in her mouth.
“At your age… yeah, it makes sense that people start pushing you to get married.”
She casually took another lychee and ate it.
Draven kept peeling while watching her.
His thoughts twisted and turned, but his face remained perfectly calm.
“I think you’d be better off with a real girlfriend–the kind you could marry and have kids with. That way you wouldn’t have to deal with your family,” Cassia suggested.

Draven placed another peeled lychee onto the plate. “I’m considering that.”
She grew interested. “Already have someone in mind?”
Normally, gossip didn’t interest her, but Draven was different.
She genuinely wanted to know who could catch the attention of someone as outstanding as him.
“Maybe,” Draven replied, keeping it vague.

If he said it was her and wanted to take her home, he couldn’t stay by her side so freely as just a friend if she turned him down.
“I suddenly remembered something.” Cassia pulled out her phone.
“Calling Sterling?” Draven guessed. “Seven went over already. He’s watching him. Nothing will happen.”
Still, Cassia felt a little uneasy. She’d been nonstop busy since morning and finally had a breather.
Better safe than sorry. She decided to call Sterling and Seven.

few already. Just two left. Should I save some for the kid?”
Seven deliberately said those. He pressed his ear to the door, listening.
There was movement inside.
Sterling paced. He wanted to eat, but he didn’t want to go out.
Cassia was better–she’d just put things at his door.
Thinking that, Sterling couldn’t help grumbling, “Bad guy.”

“Oh no–the last one! Kiddo, if you don’t come out, I’m eating it all!”
The moment Seven said that, Sterling yanked the door open and looked at Seven’s hands.
It’s empty. Already eaten?
Fuming, he turned to close the door.
“Hey, hey, just joking!” Seven blocked the door and tilted his chin toward the living room table.
“See? I bought 50 crabs. Go ahead and dig in today.”
