Luckily, the water wasn’t boiling hot, or she would have been scarred for life. Still, it would take a long time for her face to fully heal.

“Doctor, my daughter was acting like she lost her mind. She wouldn’t let us near her, and she acted so strangely! We kept calling her, but she didn’t respond. What’s wrong with her?” Geneva grabbed the doctor, her face full of worry.

Cassia had just finished the registration process downstairs. She walked into the ward and how pale Geneva looked. She frowned and said, “Rest for a bit.”

Geneva glanced at the hospital bed.

Danica was on an IV and still out.

“I ordered some food,” Cassia said, sounding unusually gentle. “Take care of yourself first. You’ll need energy if you want to take care of others.”

“Okay…”

Geneva looked tired and worn out. Then she turned to Byron and asked, “Have you had dinner? Come eat with us. The nurses will keep an eye on her.”

Byron had helped out at the hotel, then rushed around the hospital with them. He looked pretty worn out, too.

Even though he had eaten dinner at the hotel, the stress and running around had burned it all off.

His stomach made a loud noise.
