“Sigh… Let’s go.”
After Vance said that, he followed Cassia and the others into another room.

Cassia called Lennox Hotel again and told the chef to send over two more servings of food.
Vance and Aspen watched Cassia make the call.
Seemed like the owner of Lennox Hotel really was good friends with Cassia. The hotel never offered delivery, but they were willing to make an exception for her.
The five of them ate in silence.
“Where’s Tyne?” Vance asked, looking up at Cassia.
“She ran,” Cassia said while scooping a spoonful of soup.
“Ran?” Vance frowned, annoyed. “How could you let someone that dangerous get away? If y were strong enough to save Danica, why didn’t you just catch her and give her to the polic
Aspen added, “If we don’t get rid of her for good, what if she comes back to hurt Danica again?”
Cassia kept eating like nothing happened.
Seeing his daughter ignore both him and her brother in front of everyone made Vance feel embarrassed.
Vance kept complaining, “Exactly! What if she comes back and hurts our whole family? What if she comes back to threaten or blackmail us? You shouldn’t have—”
“Okay, enough…” Geneva couldn’t listen anymore.
“It was already hard enough for Cassia to save Danica! Honey, you have no idea how scary and dangerous it was. If Cassia hadn’t jumped in to grab Tyne, Byron and I wouldn’t have even had a chance to get Danica out of there.”
Cassia glanced at Geneva.
In this cold family, maybe only her mom would say something nice about her.
Byron couldn’t believe how badly Cassia was treated at home. He finally understood why she was so cold and grumpy.

With a family environment this bad, how could anyone grow up with a good personality?
Byron felt that it was already amazing that Cassia grew up healthy.
He jumped in to help Geneva, “Exactly! Mr. Wood, stop blaming Cassia. Cassia came to save Danica even though Danica hates her. Honestly, you have no reason to be mad at her.”
Hearing his wife and the heir of the Webbs say this, Vance also realized this wasn’t the right time or place to complain about Cassia.
He changed the topic and started talking about the kidnapping.
Byron finally got the full story.
When he heard Vance say that Brie had stolen Cassia’s painting and sold it, he was completely shocked.
Brie–the campus belle, the girl everyone adored–actually stole a painting?!
If her own dad hadn’t said it, Byron never would have believed it.
You really can’t judge people by looks…
Thinking back to what happened in the hotel room earlier, Geneva and Byron still felt scared.
Only they knew how dangerous it really was. If Cassia had been even a second slower or had hesitated, Tyne would’ve taken control of the situation, and they never would’ve saved Danica so smoothly.
But something felt weird to Byron. If Tyne was the one who destroyed the painting, why kidnap Danica?
If it was just because she knew Danica and wanted to kidnap her for the Impression Goddess compensation money, it still shouldn’t have been this brutal. She pinched her, hit her, and even poured boiling water on her face!
Byron thought back to what happened in the hotel room. Tyne acted like she had some kind of deep grudge against Danica…
As he was lost in thought, a nurse suddenly rushed over.
“Something’s wrong! The patient woke up and tried to kill herself!”
“What?!” Aspen jumped to his feet.

Geneva and Vance turned pale the second they heard the word “kill herself.”
