Cassia really knew how to enjoy life. She had spent over 50 million dollars on a house in Dunstino Bay. What a lavish spender!
“Cassia Wood, let’s not talk about money. It’s such a sensitive topic. I mean, we’re family…”
“You just called me by my full name,” Cassia said coldly. “And now you call me family? Don’t you feel even a little guilty?”
That shut Brie up.
Brie couldn’t stand listening to Cassia anymore.
If it weren’t for helping her family, she wouldn’t have tried so hard to keep Cassia here.
“Wait.” Cassia narrowed her eyes. “You’re hiding something.”
Brie’s heart sank at this.
Had she found out? That couldn’t be right. My acting is perfect.
“What are you planning?” Cassia asked.
She replayed Brie’s behavior in her mind.
On the surface, Brie seemed normal. But in small details, Cassia could tell she was anxious.
Just now, Brie had lowered her head to check her phone.
At first, Cassia thought she was just bored. Now, it felt wrong.
She was probably messaging someone.
“I–I’m not planning anything,” Brie stammered. Her guilt showed the moment she spoke.
“You-” Before Cassia could say more, her phone rang.
She took it out.
Draven.
“Hello?”
“Come downstairs,” he said.
Cassia glanced at Brie, then walked past her, pulled open the door, and left.
“Cassia-“Brie spread her arms to stop her, but not only did she fail, Cassia also harshly knocked her to the side.
She winced and rubbed her arm, then hurried after her.
Cassia went all the way down to the hotel lobby.
Brie caught up with her as she mumbled, “Cassia, let’s go back upstairs. They will be here any minute. If they can’t find us-”

She froze when she saw a man lying on the floor, beaten so badly he was barely moving. Men in black suits stood around him. Brie was horrified, unable to speak.
“Dad?!”
After receiving Brie’s message, Vance had asked Geneva to prepare everything and go with him to the hotel to take Cassia home.
Geneva refused. She would never help him hurt her daughter. Using Danica as an excuse, she said she had to stay and watch over her.
Vance cursed her in anger. Geneva walked straight into Danica’s bedroom and shut the door, blocking out the noise.
Once inside, she quickly sent Cassia a message. She told her exactly what Vance planned to do, and she warned her to be careful.
After finishing his rant, Vance made a call and summoned one of his employees to go with him to the hotel.
When they arrived, the security guards did not stop him. Vance walked straight inside without trouble.
That was because Cassia had told Nicole that Vance would be coming and that he should not be blocked. She said she had something to discuss with him.
Because of this, Nicole had instructed the security team to let Vance in, but only this once.
Just as Vance and his subordinate reached the main lobby, someone suddenly grabbed them.
“Who are you people?” Vance shouted. Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, both he and his subordinate were dragged away and shoved into a dark, unused storage warehouse at the back of the hotel.
Vance was thrown hard onto the ground. He winced in pain and sucked in a sharp breath.
“Who are you?!” he shouted again. He pushed himself up against the wall, staring in terror at a group of men in black suits and sunglasses standing in front of him.
Then, one man stepped forward from behind them. He removed his sunglasses. It was Draven.
“It’s you!”
Vance shouted, his eyes going wide.
This man–even if Vance lost his memory, his body would still remember him.
Without realizing it, Vance’s whole body began to shake. His hands and feet turned cold, and a dull pain spread through his limbs.
He had been searching for this man for a long time, trying every method he knew to find out who he was. No matter what he did, he found nothing.
