Chapter 389 Challenge Accepted
Seven turned his head to look at Draven.
They were already here. Why did he have to talk in such a creepy tone?
Then, Seven glanced at Sterling.
His boss wasn’t the only one who stared at him coldly; even Sterling’s gaze toward him wasn’t friendly.
Seven was completely confused.
All he did was complain about the author a little. Was that really worth this kind of reaction?
During the meal, Cassia suddenly turned to look at Draven.
“Are you really Draven?”
“Huh?” Seven jumped in at once when he heard her question, curiosity all over his face.
“Wait–don’t tell me you’re also a fan of that author who acts on her whim?”
Cassia narrowed her eyes.
Act on her whim?
‘No.” Cassia pulled her gaze back from Seven.
‘Mm.”
Draven grunt was meant for Cassia’s question just now.
Cassia turned to look at him again.
So he really is my fan?
Well, it made sense.
He didn’t even bother to change his name.

Besides, she had once traced that account back to Grey Group. From that moment on, she already knew that Draven had to be someone high up in the company.
Later, too many other things happened, and she never bothered to dig into his real identity.
What surprised her was this–Draven was her top supporter on her novel’s donor board. The one who threw money at her just to ush updates. The loyal reader who never stopped following her book.
Wait- About a week ago, she had blocked him.
From the look of it, Draven still didn’t know that she was the author.
Cassia had no plan to reveal that truth.

Not because she was trying to hide it deliberately, but because she felt there was no need.

Her phone vibrated in her pocket. She received a new message.
Cassia took out her phone and opened Messenger.
“Queen Dreame, I’m sorry to bother you again. I went to the amusement park with friends today. I ran into someone I don’t like, but Seven protected me. I’m very happy.”
Cassia looked up from her phone and glanced at Sterling, who had just finished sending the message and was now happily eating crab, completely absorbed.
She looked back down and scrolled through all the messages Sterling had sent her.
There were only a few. One message a day, like a diary. The content was almost always the same.
“Today was a happy day.”
“Today I ate my favorite crab. Happier than yesterday.”
Each message was simple, plain, and honest–like a student reporting homework to a teacher.
They quietly proved that the little boy was getting healthier and happier with each passing day.
Cassia pressed her lips together, then replied as she always did. “Congrats.”
Ding, ding, ding!
Sterling heard the Messenger alert. One hand was holding a crab. He freed the other hand and tapped his phone.
When he saw that the message was from his favorite author, Queen Dreame, his eyes lit up. He dropped the crab back onto the plate, grabbed his phone with both hands, and even let out a small, happy giggle.
“Hehe. What are you looking at? Why are you smiling like that?” Seven leaned over curiously.
“None of your business!” Sterling shoved the phone into his pocket and reached back toward his plate to keep eating.
“Hey! Kid, I unshelled that crab for you. Is that how you talk to me?”
“I didn’t ask you to do it for me.”
Oh? This kid’s getting bold now?
Before Sterling could grab the crab, Seven stretched out his hand and pulled the plate, still holding the half–eaten crab, to himself.
“If you talk like that, then you don’t get any.”
“Mm!”
Sterling puffed out his cheeks and glared at Seven.

Still angry, he reached for another crab and decided to unshell it himself.
For a while now, he had been quietly watching how Seven did it.

Both hands moved together. He pressed along the crack in the middle of the shell, then slid a spoon into the gap. He stood up, held the crab steady with his left hand, and pressed down hard on the spoon with his right.
Once wasn’t enough. He pried again.
Crack! The shell opened.
“Hahaha!”
Sterling held up the crab he had opened himself and lifted his chin proudly, showing it to Seven.
It took a while, but all that watching and trying had paid off.
“That’s awesome!” Seven gave him a thumbs–up.
But there was a faint sadness on his face.
The kid can unshell his crab now. Does that mean he won’t need me anymore?
“Hey, kid, do you like other seafood? Grilled oysters? Crawfish? Sweet–and–sour fish? I know a seafood place. How about I take you for crawfish next time? Want to go?”
Sterling scooted his chair to the side, putting more space between them.
Seven had just stolen his crab. He was still mad.
“I can go by myself!”
“By yourself?” Seven laughed. “You’d go alone? Do you even dare to leave the house? Do you know the way?” Seven had noticed something these past few days. The kid had zero sense of direction.
