Georgia instinctively refused to believe what Danica was saying was true.

“There’s no misunderstanding!” Danica’s emotions were running high, her typing noticeably faster than usual.

Danica’s fingers flew across the keyboard.

“Brie’s innocent, pure image is all an act! She never said anything outright, but looking back now, so many things were because she kept dropping hints from the sidelines, guiding things subtly, until we were unconsciously led to misunderstand Cassia.”

As Danica typed, she suddenly recalled the dinner party at Grey Group’s new branch last time.

Originally, she had never even thought about having Tyne steal that painting. It was Brie who casually said, “It seems like Cassia likes that painting too,” and that was what sparked the idea for her to get Tyne to steal it, triggering the whole chain of disasters that followed.

She had felt something was off at the time. She’d been thinking about how to make things difficult for Cassia, and yet why had Brie suddenly thrown out that random comment?

But back then, she had been too deeply influenced by Brie to see clearly. Now that she’d woken up and thought about it more deeply, she realized it.

She had been the one to propose it. Tyne had been the one who actually stole the painting. If Grey Group decided to pursue the matter, Tyne would only say she acted under Danica’s instructions!
