Chapter 521 One Million Orders
Oh? That proud tone of his could only mean she’d guessed too low again.
Cassia raised an eyebrow and held up two fingers.
“More than two hundred thousand?”

Richard grinned and thrust both hands out, fingers spread, practically trembling with excitement. “One million!”
“One million.”
Cassia pulled out her phone and checked the time.
She’d arrived in Chesthale around 10 a.m., and by the time Richard brought her here, it was already past 1 p.m.
“So, you’re telling me that from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.–seven hours–we’ve processed a million. orders?”
Richard beamed. “That’s exactly what I’m telling you!”
Cassia nodded, genuinely pleased.
“Not bad at all. The efficiency jump is massive–easily twice as fast as before the automated robots were installed.”
“And once we hit full speed, we can start pushing into more major cities!” Richard picked up right where she left off, momentum building. “I’ve actually been thinking about opening a second Hummer Plantation in Vrastin.”
“Solid idea, but let’s keep the priority on new retail locations first. The second plantation can wait. By the way, I haven’t been around much lately–how are the other franchise partners doing with their stores?”
Richard said. “Running like clockwork. They’ve been sending me sales reports on schedule. Oh, and Mr. Eason mentioned he wants another batch–his store keeps selling out.”
As he spoke, Richard pulled a folded sheet of paper from his blazer pocket and handed it to Cassia.
“I wrote down everything Mr. Eason needs.”
Cassia took it, scanned the list, and nodded. “Go it. Get this moving tonight–I want it delivered to him by tomorrow morning.”

Richard gestured toward the glass wall and the bank of instruments behind them. “Since this is your first time up here, how about a commemorative photo?”
He waved over the employee who’d been standing quietly off to the side to take the picture.
Cassia didn’t particularly care about photos one way or another, but if Richard wanted one,
sure.
The employee took the instant camera Richard handed him, waited for them to pose, aimed, and pressed the shutter.
Click.
“Let’s head out.”
They turned to leave, but at the door, Cassia paused. She looked back and pointed at the massive console bristling with blinking lights behind the employee. “Richard, make sure you come check on this regularly. Equipment this advanced–if anything goes wrong, call in the specialists. Don’t let anyone who doesn’t know what they’re doing mess with it.”
Richard nodded solemnly, then slung a casual arm around the employee’s shoulders and grinned. “Relax, Boss. This kid’s one of mine–a top engineering grad I recruited specifically for this. He’s the real deal.”
“Good.” Cassia pushed open the door and walked out.
Richard followed.
“Want to swing by the plantation while we’re here?”
“No need. I came today to see if the automated robots were installed and how they were performing. I’ve seen enough.”
“Got it. I’ll walk you back to the villa, then.”
Up in the control room, the employee watched rough the glass as the boss and the girl made their way toward the warehouse exit.
The pretty girl walked in front; Richard followed behind.
Whether it was the dynamic between them, the body language, or the simple fact that the CEO of a major corporation was trailing behind a teenage girl, none of it looked like a normal boss–employee relationship.
If that girl were just some regular person, would a man of Richard’s stature willingly walk

behind her?
The employee couldn’t help but wonder about the nature of their relationship.

“What a gorgeous girl. The way they act around each other… Is she Mr. Scott’s mistress?”
In his experience, Richard was nothing like a typical corporate bigwig–he was easygoing, friendly, the kind of boss who’d eat lunch with the warehouse crew. No airs at all.
But if this girl held some kind of “special” role–lover, kept woman–then deferring to her, as a way to show respect or signal her status, would make sense.
And honestly, could you blame him? Most men with that kind of money eventually caved in front of a beautiful face.
Sure, everyone called Richard and his wife the “model couple” of the industry, but the man was still a man. After being married for so many years, even the best of them got restless. And a girl that stunning? Who wouldn’t be tempted?
The employee settled back into his chair, phone in hand, staring at the photo he’d just taken. On a whim, he posted it to his Instagram story with the caption, “Mr. Scott personally asked me to take a photo for him today! Working hard Stay dedicated, and one day the boss will notice you, too!”
