“Alright, Bryan, I’m coming out now,” Hugo whispered, then quickly slipped into the hote and crawled out of the plantation

“Bryan, I’m here. Where are you?”

Hugo lay flat on the ground, but what appeared in front of him were two pairs of feet–one large, one smatter

He looked up and met Cassia and Richard’s faces.

Bryan was nowhere to be seen.

‘Holy shit! Y–You… didn’t you leave? Why are you here?” Hugo froze in fear. It took him a few seconds before he finally snapped back and tried to turn around and run.

However, it was too late. Before he could crawl back in, Richard pinned him to the ground with one swift move.

‘Kid, we’ve been waiting for you.”

‘Why are you here? I clearly heard Bryan’s voice just now… He was talking to me!”

Hugo struggled hard.

Otherwise, he never would’ve crawled out!

“You mean this voice?”

Hugo froze after hearing the voice.

He slowly turned his head with wide eyes. Cold sweat was dripping down his back as he stared at Cassia.

He heard and saw Bryan’s voice coming straight out of Cassia’s mouth.

“Y–you can mimic voices?”

Hugo finally snapped to the truth.

“So you were pretending to leave on purpose just now?”

Richard pressed him down harder. “If you didn’t have something to hide, would you’ve fallen for it?”

“I–I was wrong! You’ve got it all wrong! The front gate was locked! I didn’t have a key, and I couldn’t get out! I was just trying to leave from here!”

At this point, Hugo didn’t care about anything else, he just wanted to get away from them.

“Oh? But you’re not going anywhere yet,” Cassia said, switching back to her normal voice.

“I… I’ve already been fired… and didn’t you say you wanted to go home and sleep?”

Her tone was calm, almost casual. But to Hugo, it made his scalp crawl.

“Let me guess what you were planning,” Cassia continued. “You already coordinated with Bryan before separating, and you were planning to work together from inside and outside. Then, suddenly, you got fired, so you came to pass him the message. Once it got late enough, the two of you would sneak back in through the tunnel and burn the plantation down. Am I right?”

Hugo lowered his head, saying nothing.
