When he found out, he almost jumped out of his chair. He never expected that quiet girl to have such strong connections.

He thought Mark was just being polite, so he answered modestly.

“Come on, Vance. Don’t play humble. Your daughter actually knows the CEO from Cosmo Group. Looks like that contract is pretty much yours.” Mark’s voice was full of envy. These days, everything runs on connections.

“What? Are you serious?” Could the shady person Danica mentioned be the CEO of Cosmo Group?

Vance suddenly remembered the woman he saw at Cosmo Group earlier; that must’ve been Cassia.

Both he and Aspen hadn’t been mistaken.

“Yes, and at my daughter’s birthday party, Ms. Lane even stood up for Cassia. They looked pretty close.” Mark hoped Wood Group would get the contract. If Vance succeeded, maybe he could get a little benefit too.
