Chapter 78 Attitude Change
Now that they had finally caught her in the act, of course, they were going to embellish it and tattle on her.
“Danica, Cassia just went out to relax with her classmates. She finished her exams; going out to play is normal.” Geneva spoke up to help.
“You’re just too indulgent with her. Which young lady stays out late at night?” Victoria’s authoritative voice rang out. She hadn’t intervened for a while.
Recently, she had been meditating. And now that she is out, everyone’s here, only Cassia is missing.
It’s infuriating.
Victoria regretted not dealing with her properly before.
Hearing her grandmother’s words, Danica became even bolder. “Exactly, besides, I didn’t hear about her going out with any classmate.”
“Nowadays, many high schoolers get involved with people outside their age group…” Brie said pointedly from the side.
Danica nodded and went on, vividly recounting what she had seen before.
Cassia rolled her eyes, feeling bored.
Finally, unable to listen any longer, Cassia opened the door and walked in. “Are you talking about me?”
All

turned to her.
“Who else would it be if not you? You’re so disgraceful. You were gone after exams and stayed out overnight.” Danica clung to this point.
“I went out with classmates for something, and I told Mom about it too.” Cassia said calmly, her dark, deep eyes making Danica feel a little uneasy.
“Hmph, who would believe that? Haven’t you thought about the family’s reputation?” Danica pressed on.
“Cassia, your behavior is unacceptable. If you don’t follow family rules, get out immediately.” Victoria was not one to mince words, speaking directly and sternly.

Cassia straightened her posture, then looked at them firmly. “I went out for something important, not some nonsense. I’m tired, I’m going upstairs to rest first.”
This was Cassia’s usual style. Since she couldn’t make everyone like her, she just needed to be at peace with herself. She never bothered explaining.
After saying that, Cassia went upstairs.
Seeing this, Victoria exclaimed angrily, “Look at her! She doesn’t respect me at all. She’s getting bolder by the day.”
Vance looked at Cassia disappearing up the staircase, then said, “Mom, don’t be just a little girl. She means no harm; just a little straightforward. Don’t take it to heart.”

Hearing Vance’s words, everyone stared at him as if they didn’t know him. Hard to imagine these words coming from his mouth. It was incredible.
“Dad, since when did you become like this?” Danica felt unsettled. Didn’t he dislike Cassia before? All this while, she was the favorite in Dad’s heart.
Brie also looked at him in surprise. How come Dad treats Cassia so well now?
Brie suddenly felt a deep sense of fear. Since she isn’t Dad’s biological daughter, what if Dad likes Cassia and stops liking her
She didn’t dare think further.
Victoria scolded with a stern face, “Are you crazy? How can you be so foolish now? Don’t you know what kind of person she is?”
This troublemaker is a disaster at home, and her son is defending her. It’s infuriating.
“Mom, Cassia really doesn’t mean anything by it. Don’t be angry. I’ll help you back to your room to rest.” Vance tried to calm things down.
Victoria, realizing her son probably had something to say, nodded and went back to the room with him.
